This isn't going to fit in the 5 foot box. This is for my 4' firewood rack; it is slightly larger, perhaps by a few inches. However, it is not large enough for the 5'.
I believe 42" is the correct measurement, as the bottom of our wood rack is probably 4-inches deep. The bottom of the cover comes to a stop 5 inches above ground level. If you stack your wood as high as you do, I'm not sure it'll cover your entire pile. Ours are stacked slightly higher than the side poles. Having said that, it is well-made. It's been at least 5 years since we've had it. There were no tears, but the paper was a little faded from the sun.
It was the ideal size for my firewood rack.
It is, in fact, larger! It has enough space inside for longer pieces or even other objects. It has made me extremely happy! We had high winds here as well, but the velcro straps kept it secure.

Now I'm going to give it a high rating. It was only a month ago that I used it to cover my firewood rack. We've had snow, ice, and rain, and so far it's held up and kept the wood dry. For a 4 foot log rack, this is an excellent fit. It has a roll-up/down front that is secured in place with Velcro on both sides, and I like the buckles on each of the bottom corners to keep it from blowing off. The ability to access any part of your wood stack is aided by rolling up the front. br>***There is one thing that I wish it had. Apart from that, I like the cover, the price was right, and I hope it lasts a long time. Honestly, if it lasts a few years and then starts to wear, I wouldn't mind buying another one from this vendor.
We have a standard 4 foot log rack (at least, that's what I thought). This cover, however, appears to be designed for a much taller log rack than the one we have, as it dragged on the ground by about 8 inches. I was hoping the cover would fit like in the photo, but it certainly does not. It collects leaves, dirt, and water, and allows the front flap to become frozen in the snow/ice. I would have given the cover five stars if it weren't for this feature. The fabric appears to be sturdy, and the black color appeals to me.
We'll see how this holds up in Alaska, but it appears to be of high quality! I slid it onto my log rack, clipped the legs together, and called it a day. It appears to be of good quality; I'd compare it to the difference between an off-the-shelf and an off-the-shelf cover. brand grill cover and a Char-Broil Char-Broil Char-Broil Char-Broil Char Cover the grill with a broiler or a Weber grill. Our Char- The Broil grill cover has lasted 5 years and is still going strong after spending the winter at our cabin, exposed to the elements and unused. The off-brand one I have at home, which gets plenty of use, looks terrible, is worn out, and needs to be thrown out. I believe that this cover will last a long time, keep our wood dry, and provide us with many pleasant Sunday evening fires.
Update: After about three years, There is significant fading from the sun. On the top, where it would rub against the wood/rack handle, there is a small split/tear. In general, I'm still in decent shape. The vast majority of the weather is still kept out. Before it needs to be replaced, it should last a few more years. I'd buy it again if the price was lower than $40. Durability appears to be excellent. br>br> The plastic is extremely thick. The clips to keep the wind out are a nice touch. Velcro is used to make it easy to get in and out. It's a lot better than the grill cover I used to have.
Since I bought this cover, there have been strong winds and rain in my area, and it has kept my wood safe and dry. This is something I would strongly recommend in this day and age, when finding a good, long-lasting product has become a monumental task. Thank you for producing such a high-quality product; please continue to do so.
The ability to click/lock the corners down is a lifesaver on windy days, and the product is made of durable materials. After sitting in the backyard for the entire spring and summer, it now has a nice appearance. The black has started to fade a little, and I expect it to fade even more during this harsh winter (Midwest US), but it is still very sturdy and fits perfectly over my SoloStove wood/fire pit stand.
They were all light in weight and quickly degraded. They certainly weren't cheap. The Khomo cover is durable and attractive. I intend to purchase two additional copies. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
With velcro patches on both sides of the front flap and plastic snap buckles at the bottom, this bag is simple to open and close. Fits snugly but not overly so, which is ideal if you have some longer logs. br>br>I purchased this cover to use on a 4ft rack I recently constructed out of PT lumber because I know it will last, and the four corner hold down straps are a nice touch. The buckles are just the right length to wrap around the lumber. Overall, after about 2 months of rainy weather use, I'm pleased with the price, quality, and design of this product, which has received 2 inches of snow.
