It's incredibly simple to set up. Mine took me less than ten minutes to set up. Initially, place the plate between the two frames at the bottom. Tighten the screws after aligning it with the holes on the frames. The rack should then be placed in the middle of the two frames and the screws should be tightened. Finally, use the hanger to hang all of your tools.

My fire pit is outside, and I have mine there as well. To be honest, I haven't left it outside long enough to see if it will rust, but so far there have been no signs of corrosion. It has a powder-coated surface to keep it from corroding; I believe it will last a long time. I prefer logs that are elevated above the ground so that the bottom pieces do not rot before we can use them.

It took me about 5 minutes to assemble the rack. It can hold a lot of wood without taking up a lot of room on the floor. We live in New England and use our wood stove all day in the winter, so we go through a lot of it. It'll hold enough wood for a full day's worth of fire, and it's sturdy enough that you can pile the wood even higher if you want. The 2 inch clearance between the bottom rack and the floor is ideal for storing 5 or 6 small fire starter logs underneath it as well. The tools are also durable, allowing them to handle even the largest and heaviest chunks of wood, which is useful. br>br>The only thing I didn't like about it was the accompanying note. It gives a discount on a future order in exchange for a 5-star Amazon review. That struck me as a little shady, as I read a lot of reviews and frequently base my purchasing decisions on customer feedback. *If it wasn't for that note, I would have given the product five stars. * It could be there simply to encourage people to rate the product, which is effective (as I'm guilty of rarely writing reviews myself, preferring to read them), but it appears that such an offer would jeopardize the reviews' honesty.
My husband and I had to immerse the tool in water to put out the fire. I'm always surprised when fireplace tools catch fire while in use, especially when they're brand new. "Black Wrought Iron" is a term used to describe wrought iron that is black in color. It's clear that this isn't iron, but rather black-painted steel! The paint fumes were unbearable. Our entire house was filled with a foul odor. This is of poor quality!.

I didn't mind that the brush was a little ragged because I'd never used one before. br>After receiving the product, the vendor contacted me to try to con me into writing a review. I'd given the product five stars in my previous review. But she didn't just ask - she pretended to be interested. boo- boo- boo- boo- boo- boo- boo I'm lamenting the fact that I'm a single mother with no options. So I lowered my rating from a five to a three because I don't trust the vendor who sells these items.
This is the first time I've made a purchase like this. It was bought for my fiancé as a "Christmas present. " I was hoping to put it together on my own so I could load it with firewood and set it up while he slept on Christmas Eve (which is tomorrow)! I did, and while it was a little difficult to keep the pieces together while screwing and bolting them in, I got it done. I'm overjoyed with it and can't wait to put it under the Christmas tree tomorrow night!.
This unit met all of my requirements! I was blown away by the weight of the pieces, and when they're all put together, it's one solid unit. The included tools were also quite heavy, and they should last a long time. The quality of the product surprised even my "Doubting Thomas" husband, who particularly liked the three-pronged log lifter. This unit would also look nice on the inside, especially if you're short on space. There's an open top rack for logs, a bottom shelf for kindling and paper, and side hooks for the four tools that come with it. It's a very attractive layout. I can even hang additional tools like my fireplace bellows and a fly swatter from the hooks! br>br>One thing to keep in mind about the seller: don't be put off by it. The Amazon box came with a factory-sealed shipping box. However, when I opened the box, I was dismayed to discover that the bolt nuts had gone missing. This was a factory error, and the seller had nothing to do with it. As soon as my order was shipped, the seller sent me an email asking how I liked it and how I could contact them if there were any issues. br>br>I sent a message asking for the nuts so I could put the unit together, and I received a quick response. However, the email was riddled with spelling errors, so I don't believe English is the customer service representative's first language. After exchanging several emails, I was informed that the nuts would have to be shipped from China (where the unit was manufactured), and that it would take anywhere from 7 to 14 days. I was impatient, so I gathered 8 nuts that fit the bolts (again, hubby was surprised that the bolts weren't metric and standard nuts fit beautifully), spray painted them black, and assembled the unit in under 10 minutes after they were dry. Because this was a factory error, I have no complaints about the unit or the seller, but I wanted to let you know that missing parts were an issue with my purchase. br>***Update*** This unit has been running for three years and is still going strong! It's been under the gazebo for the past year, but it's always been exposed to the elements. It's round, and it's both attractive and durable. I just bought a second one for my son. For Father's Day, I made him a law because he, too, deserves high quality.
The powder coating is thick and consistent in thickness. Even if it doesn't last, I'm happy with it. With just a Philips screwdriver and a firm grip on the hex nut, it comes together in under 5 minutes. There will be no wriggling! It can easily hold a full stack of wood from top to bottom. The bristles on the broom are a little haphazard and plasticky, but they get the job done. To sweep up the last of the ash, the shovel is pressed up against the granite. This is a great buy.
This is an excellent value for the money! I've looked for a long time for something that isn't too fancy but is still attractive and functional. This is ideal because it arrives disassembled but is simple to assemble. The tools are excellent in terms of quality and durability. Because it isn't a separate piece, I enjoy the loop at the end. It's surprisingly strong, and it can hold a lot of wood.
