It appears to be impervious to water. In terms of UV protection, I'm not sure.

My cover measures 48 x 20 inches. This cover doesn't even come close to describing what 98 is all about.
It's been a year and a half since I've had mine. Both of the ones I purchased are torn.

With the velcro and ventilation, it's very practical. Over a year ago, I bought one of these. It's performed admirably. With the velcro and ventilation, it's very practical. I purchased a "heavy duty" brown tarp from one of the big box stores for the other log rack we had. After a year, that thing was in shambles. It was a complete waste of money. So I went out and bought another Khomo Gear Cover and threw the tarp away.
You get what you pay for, as the saying goes. This is an excellent cover design. My previous cover had been ripped and blown away by the wind. It can get quite windy where I live. This cover has never been opened or taken off. This cover is absolutely stunning. It's one of the best books I've ever read.
I'm completely enamored with this. Our fire log rack is well-covered, but it's still easy to get into to get wood, and it allows for air circulation to allow the wood to cure and dry. I have several of them and they were the perfect solution for getting our wood off the ground and covered without having to use plastic tarps that blow around and become scummy and slimy from rain over time. We had a big wind and drenching rains and the covers stayed put with the velcro and the wood is dry.
Cover for firewood that is made to last! The straps with snap buckles will help keep the cover in place during windy days. The older cover was black, which absorbed heat and likely contributed to rapid deterioration. I like the design and the heavy-duty material, and I'm hoping it will last a long time.
" This appears to be a very durable log cover for the price! It easily covered my 8-foot log rack and slipped right over it. It has Velcro-secured flaps for removing and replacing wood. Time will tell how long this will last out in the elements, but the thickness of the "fabric" leads me to believe I'll get several years out of it. My previous one was fairly light weight, and it actually tore as I was removing it to install this one. It also arrived quickly.
Even though I haven't put any firewood on it yet, the cover for my rack appears to be of excellent quality and durability. It was simple to slip onto my firewood rack, and it has straps for securing it to the legs to prevent it from billowing in the wind, as well as elastic straps on both ends to tighten the bottom. For easy access, the Velcro side is also simple to open and close. The quality of the cover is excellent, and it fits my firewood rack perfectly.
But I believe this one will be well worth your money. br>br>Here are a few highlights that I found particularly appealing: air vents to allow wind to blow through the cover, adjustable clips to secure to any frame - bungees at the bottom hug the frame, and velcro covers the zippered opening so it doesn't rip. br>br>After I installed this, it really looks like I spent a lot of money on it.
Because of this, I only gave it 4 stars. This is an outstanding cover. I only gave it 4 stars because I also purchased two 8-packs of cigarettes. Last week, foot Vonhaus covers were released. Vonhaus doesn't offer a 4-pack of cigarettes. As a result, I gave Khomo a try. The fabric is also very good. It has a large flap that velcros and buckles closed for easy access to firewood. At the bottom, there is a good drawstring system to keep the rack snug. For all of this, I give it a five-star rating. The only difference between the Vonhaus and the Vonhaus is that the Vonhaus is slightly larger, allowing for a comfortable fit even if you stack wood an inch or so above the top rail level. To get the Khomo to sit low enough for the bottom fasteners to buckle around the log rack for security, I had to remove a couple of pieces. Finally, the straps that secure it to the rack aren't as heavy as those on the Vonhaus. In general, this is a fantastic cover. It should, I believe, receive a score of four. 8 out of 10 stars, with a 5 from Vonhaus. If it's an 8, however, it's a different story. You'll need a footer, and Vonhaus is a slightly better cover (though Vonhaus is $7 more expensive). It's all about choices.
