It will, however, suffice as a firewood storage container. There were no instructions, but it was simple to put together; I used a flat washer under each screw because the longated slots are wide; my only criticism is the price, which was nearly $54. It's not powder coat paint, and it's not made in the United States. $29 would be a reasonable price.
The product was simple to put together, but it came with a small scratch and was slightly bent when assembled. Given the purpose of the project, neither of these issues is particularly important to us, but they may be to others.
A 3rd-party seller on Amazon has yet again produced a low-quality product. Even after adjusting the screw feet, the rack was so out of whack that the base would not sit level on the ground. I wish this item was at least acceptable, but I'm afraid it isn't. I would not purchase.
I bought it to use for broken down boxes, not firewood, so keep that in mind when you buy it. It was easy to put together without any instructions because it didn't come with any. My only complaint is the screw head size, which is 5 sided pentagon shaped and requires the use of an Allen wrench or another tool because it is too large for any ratchet screwdriver bits I have, and I have a lot. We'll see how it holds up in terms of boxes, and I'll report back after a few months of use.
We needed something that could hold three times the amount of wood we needed. We were able to fit four fires on our small screened-in porch. The most important factors we considered were size, durability, and cost. I looked at a variety of styles and manufacturers, both from well-known and lesser-known stores. For three reasons, I decided to take a chance on this one: This was exactly what I was looking for in terms of design, size, and price. It can accommodate up to four people. It is made up of 5 wood bundles and is extremely compact and sturdy. My purchase has made me extremely happy.
It's perfect for keeping a small stack of firewood out of the elements on the back porch.
In two months, it will be rusted. This rack has been on my porch for just over two months. It is protected from the elements by an overhang. It had started to rust at the joints and on the bolts/screws/nuts (or whatever holds it together) today, which I noticed. At this rate, I doubt it will last much longer than a season. It went together quickly. It's a little shaky, but it can hold a lot of wood.
However, there are some broken pieces. We're just putting this together to keep wood ready to go near our fireplace insert; I like the stand, and it was simple to put together, but we have a broken piece where a foot screws in, and we're missing a nut on another one. As a result, we're having trouble getting two of the feet to screw in properly. This is disappointing because it detracts from the excitement of purchasing something new. Is it possible to obtain two new inserts into which the feet screw? Aside from that, I adore the stand!!.
