It is true. There are three or four trees with different sized leaves close to our pond and they all keep As long as we have time to remove them, it will be sturdy enough to support the leaves' weight. You can fill the holes with the right size food to feed the fish. We couldn't have expected the quality of the net to be this good. This is a highly recommended product.
Depending on how far you stretch it over the pond, the size varies. There is a small gap about 1/4 of an inch, but it is very soft As I stretched it taught (no droop), the mesh came to a thickness of 3/8". Approximately 1/2 inch

I bought another brand which was highly rated, and it was the absolute worst. In case the net gets into the water, the fish's fins will be entangled, and if that happens, it is a sure death. Be careful with the material of the net. Unlike the wiry device I bought at first, this net is thick and soft. It's so much easier to stretch with it. Unless you are right next to it, you wouldn't even know it was there. You get nice sharp stakes with the set and a bag with a zipper. It's not just that I paid twice as much for a product I dislike, but that I paid twice as much for one I dislike. If you have ever dealt with the others, you will agree that this is by far.
In a nutshell, Thanks to this great protection for our 4,000 gallon pond, we are happy with how affordable it is. Rolling it out lengthwise and spreading it over the pond was easy. I only spent a minute or two on it. A netting that is durable enough to not be caught in every single thing is sufficient. I like how it is super light, but the holes are small, so it keeps out even the smallest leaves, without detracting from fishing. I would really love to see a distinct edge on the outside of the net. I'm sure that detail would add a lot of value to the sale. The only thing I regret is not discovering this on-line a month sooner. We are extremely happy to be able to keep the fall leaves out for less than $50 even though we are not sure how it will hold up in the snow and ice that will come!.
My water feature is covered with this net to protect Koi and Goldfish. There are no tears in the net because it is made of high quality material Resistance is strong. I secure the net at one end of the pond by placing a net hole over a rebar each one of which is on each side of For the past 11 weeks I have periodically tightened the net by lifting the web off of the rebar, pulling the web tight, and hooking the rebar with a different hole in the web. The net is hooked between a piece of wood the size of a 2" x 4" at the center of the pond, and I have a raised nail at each end of the piece of wood. On the other end of the pond, I place large rocks on top of the net. It is a U-shaped thing Rather than using large rocks or under large rocks to hold the net at this other end, the spikes included with the new net could have been used instead of or under the rocks. However, these rocks were already present from another net I previously had installed. There is a great deal of money on the line, but not a lot of stakes. The do not have a zinc coating and rust within a couple of It leaves your hands in a nice rusty state when you need to take it apart to clean. That means I have to purchase new ones. Because the net itself is softer than most, you will have to maneuver a little. As a whole, this purchase has been okay.
We are very pleased with the pond net, it works perfectly, stretches very well and is durable as well. Plastic is used for the net because it is long lasting and thin so that you can barely notice it when the net is covered. It was a great purchase for the low price.

There was a size error on the net and it was extremely low-quality. Within a day and a half of staking it to the ground around the pond (which is 5x7), the net tore at the stakes. Please don't purchase if you don't want to lose time and effort.
