The size determines how it will support the water, as if the surface is very large, then something will be required to support it. It's not enough for my 6x10 fishpond to have support bars to hold the net in place.
In as long as you do not pull too hard and you don't put too much tension on the net, you will be able to cut a hole in the center.

It's perfect for my koi pond, the size is exactly what I needed. Thanks! I was disappointed to find that the net I received had a 1-inch The service department offered to send a replacement with free shipping immediately after I asked for one! It wasn't possible to use the second one, the hole was about two feet wide! In the end, we kept the net with the smaller hole since we needed it right away. It's nice to have good customer service, but there's no quality control on the product.
Spend your money on something that is weak, not on something that is worthless. you, you'll see leaves caught, but that's about it. Some passing through the spaces is fine, but not enough to go through the door.

Several turtles live in a large indoor pond, so I bought this to cover them. The custom shape worked perfectly, since the hooks were upside down on the 3mm removable hooks. Our cats cannot drink from the water or bat at the turtles as they are protected by netting. There was nothing better that could have been done with this product.
