It is primarily used to prevent leaves from getting into the pond from the oak tree. Over half of the leaves that fall on it find their way into the pond by reason of the size of the netting (the openings of 1/2 inch in the net). I'll now get to the rest of the story. This should be put together in the following way To begin with, discard the instructions that came with the cover for the pond. In second place, look for the video instructions for how to assemble it on YouTube. As I understand it, the written instructions provided with the pond cover are extremely poor and, in my opinion, do not clarify things clearly and are confusing. *Next, there is the reviewer who stated that the netting size (overall area, not the size of the openings in the net) is way too large. In the description of the dome, the size of 7 x 9 x 2 is given as right, and that is what the size is I was surprised to see how wide the netting is that stretches over the dome and across the ground. This was something I'd put together on my back deck, but it ended up being Because the laid out netting was too large to do it anywhere but my front yard, I had to do it there. As much as I want to cut the net down to size, I'm afraid that it will damage the net. In fact, I'm not even sure that I will use it at this time. The net will have smaller openings in it, so I will be looking for another type to put over the framing.
The pockets that are supposed to be built in are nowhere to be found. It was said to be easy to assemble, but that is not true. A very difficult task that would require a team of two. It's been two hours, so I've decided to give It will look awesome when I cut it to fit my pond and anchor it the old fashioned Here's an update Since I can't stand to quit, I decided to give it another shot when I cooled down. Because it was on a driveway this time, it was easier and more visible to assemble. I found it to be easy, almost like putting up a tent, as everyone else said. In the end, I did put it over the pond by myself, but I found it to be the most challenging part of the project. I give it five stars because it covers the pond completely, in the way that it describes, and does exactly what it says.
If you want to keep leaves out of your pond or to keep pests out of a small garden plot, this will do the trick. It will not sit flat otherwise if you don't have a good, flat surface all the way around. It is over twice as large as the frame, which is useful if you have a lot of area to cover, but it can also be severe if you don't. It'll snag on anything and everything, so if it needs to be carried around often, you'll have a lot of trouble. There is no way to keep the pine straw out of the house Considering it will pass right through the netting, if you have a white pine hedge or other evergreens you will have to remove it constantly in order to clear it In general, this is a good product for the price, but it may not be the best solution for all your problems.
The assembly and positioning of the stairs were very straightforward. It took about 30 minutes. Place it on the flat surface of your pond at first and then place it over the It was used in our pond/waterfall of 10x16 square feet. The frame was placed INSIDE the pond, and then the extra mesh covered up the rest of the area! You've made my day! This is exactly what we needed to keep the dog from swimming in it, and it will also.
A few years back, I bought a similar brand just twice as big and it wasn't as durable as this one and I wasn't really in need of it that big. The pond in my backyard is only about five feet long and about four feet wide, less than seven hundred gallons, but this product works perfectly for this small pond and won't collapse in the snow.
The whole assembly took me less than 10 minutes. I have it held down with rocks because it was able to move easily over pond. It was actually the 7x9 dome that fit over my pond, then the rest of the netting went over it to cover the water falls. Oh wow, all those leaves were a nice surprise. Did you notice them? The perfect time for fall has already arrived!.
As the leaves are not entangled, it prevents it from sinking to the bottom. My pond was a breeze to cover and it was easy to assemble. This is a 5 star rating that is reservable There's snow here, and although I am not sure how durable the product will be, the warning warns that heavy snows won't be suitable. It will be interesting to see what happens.
Everything was well packaged so I didn't have to worry about missing anything. Easy to assemble, it will keep my pond clean and clear for the spring, and will be in good shape when the weather warms up. Because my pond is set up to handle leaf accumulation, I have a lot of trees, so the load is high.
