A pond owner or pro who has been in the business for any amount of time knows that pond nets either serve as keepers or are disposed of after one use. Although I had higher hopes for this particular net, it turned out to be the same as many others I've used. In addition to soft nets available at Aquascape, they also offer pond nets with this design. It has caused tangling effects more times than I care to admit with the dorsal and ventral fins of koi (especially butterfly) when attempting to move them. This creates a lot of stress for the fish, which is exactly what you do not want. This net hooked rather nasty on a butterfly koi during a pond cleaning the first time out of the package. As a result, it was necessary to gently pull the fish's fin from the tangle to free it, meaning there was some damage and stress.
This particular net is available to accommodate larger fish, so that was the major reason I bought As a result of using the net several times, I noticed that the main frame is severely bent. Please note that the net never saw fish that weighed more than 4lbs, as I use a sock for anything heavier. My guess is it will only take a few more times until the frame breaks as it does with all Aquascape nets I've used in the past. There is a fair amount of data in this net for 1-bit I have a 2 year old koi and a medium goldfish, but it is not clear how much more it can handle. Given the price, I expected something of better quality, but to my dismay, I failed to receive what I expected. believe what you see in the ads I'd say it's about as strong as any of the Aquascape nets, which isn't saying much, really. You could also invest in a Koi sock if you have bigger fish. Instead, go with the 98560 model. If you do not want to waste your money on this, do not spend it.
It is very light in comparison to a pole net for a swimming pool. If you load it up quickly with wet leaves, it can cause damage to the air conditioner. There's really no better solution for that than something heavier. It's both handy and useful for taking out stuff like my dog's stupid ball that keeps falling into it.
The fishing rod works perfectly, and I caught quite a few fish with it.
My koi pond uses this net and it works just great. However, it would be better if it were It is a really good network all in all.
Upon delivery, the package was disheveled, and the item was broken (the net that connected to the handle was broken). It seemed like the manufacturer had promised to replace, but I have not received either a refund or replacement net. I am disappointed.
The cost of some of these nets from Japan can reach $175. Featuring an adjustable handle, soft netting, and a 22" length, it made catching koi from 6" to about 22" easy. It is 16 inches in size. I am extremely happy with my.
This is a great net to use for our pond, but the fish do not like it!.
It is heavy duty and works well, but it is coming apart at one spot at seam, but it has been able to catch more than one at a time at one point or another.
