This dial has a sealed dial, which I like. I had a previous one that fogged up and froze up Worked for a short while, then stopped. A quality instrument like this feels nice it feels like it was built with care. However, I like designations such as Active and Hot, even though they are not really necessary. With just a glance I can tell what's going on You can see where the temperatures The seeds need to be killed and I care about that A pathogen is any organism that causes disease.
Our temperature began great, but after a short period of lowering, we added two beers to each pile, which caused the temperature to rise a minimum of 6 degrees, and one pile reached As a conclusion- A good beer is a good beer!.
I am new to composting and have been told that I should get I quickly stumbled upon this Reotemp product. The workmanship is superb, the readouts are reliably accurate (when compared with the readouts from various other temperature devices), and it is easy to read and use. I use the thermometer several times a day, and the readings it provides have been essential in understanding In my set up, I use 28" deep plastic bins and the 24" diameter thermometer has been just right.
You can't beat the price for this product. A very good product. The tool is rugged and is "a tool for life. As a means of tracking decomposition activity in my compost pile, I keep it in there.
In this version of the reotemp compost thermometer, the adjustment screw allows the user to calibrate the temperatures to ensure more accurate readings.
Our mission is to test the temperature of our round hay bales, which are 4 feet in diameter. There is a 2 ft gap in the bale where it hits. I'm very pleased with this device. If it were tested for moisture, we would be happier.
Replacing a lower quality Reotemp with this backyard pro was the right decision. In almost a decade, the lessor unit performed well until an unfortunate encounter with a wheelbarrow led to its destruction. Compared to the original Reo, this new one features a significantly thicker I like it very much.
