Make sure you have your mounting box handy! First and foremost, This light has a fantastic look to it. I had to return it because I was so disappointed. What was supposed to be a half-hour project became two hours with no solution. A commercial-style metal double-gang box is required to properly install this light. I live in a house with traditional plastic boxes that aren't wide enough to accept the plate with the mounting screws that secure the fixture to the wall. br>br>As I read through other reviews, I noticed that people were purchasing different screws. I went to the local Ace Hardware and purchased several lengths after trying it out. They weren't any good. As a result, I'm giving up. I went to my local Lowe's and purchased two similar (but not as cool) lights, which I installed in under 20 minutes. br>br>As a result, the moral of the story is as follows: Check your box, and I wouldn't try it on a regular household box. I really like this light, but it didn't turn out to be functional.

It was a costly error. This is not a fixture for use outside. It's rusted out after a year. Not only do I need to purchase a new one, but I also need to hire an electrician to replace it. My location, according to the company, necessitates marine grade. Strangely enough, none of my other fixtures rusted, despite the fact that some of them are quite old. Also, because it's mounted under the front porch, it's obviously not directly against the elements. My non-marine fixtures have been exposed to the elements and have held up admirably.

It was my first time installing a lamp. The instructions were simple and straightforward. It's a lovely lamp that's been expertly crafted. Love it!.

This outdoor light was purchased to replace a 22-year-old gold/glass box type light that was beginning to show its age. Something nice and new was what I was looking for. It's simple to set up and keep up with. There is nothing here to remove in order to replace the bulb; only the bulb itself needs to be replaced. From getting the ladder to flipping the switch, the installation took less than 30 minutes. Easy!.

Overall, I like it; however, my husband had to rig it because the mounting bracket was wider than the box. It can, however, be fixed by anyone with a little common sense. It only took a few minutes and some hillbilly ingenuity.

I'm at a loss for words. The lighting did not impress me. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations, but for $50 a pop, I expected something a little more durable. I wouldn't call them flimsy, but I believe a coffee can contains more metal than these. However, when I turn on the light switch, the lights turn on - That's all there is to it.
