It's black in our house. It was available in both finishes, if my memory serves me correctly. To highlight the porch ceiling, we went with black. This is a lovely light. If you're handy, it's simple to set up. Just make sure the circuit breaker for the circuit you're installing it on is turned off. I also protected the wiring with wire nuts and electric tape to prevent moisture from condensing during the extreme weather changes. Best of luck!

This product has been made much more durable in order to withstand seasonal changes. I bought this to replace an older, lower-quality one, and the installation was a breeze. Simply follow the instructions and adhere to the safety precautions. Furthermore, I would strongly advise using a piece of strong'bent' wire (coat hanger) to hold the light fixture and suspend it from the ceiling overhead while connecting the electrical wiring (, -). , & Before attaching the fixture to the overhead power box, make sure it's grounded. Simply take your time and exercise extreme caution when working with electricity or while on a ladder. If you have any fears or aversions to either, seek assistance from a knowledgeable person. This product has made our family extremely happy:-.
For the money, this is an excellent light fixture.
