Questions & Answers
Yes. They will, however, require a mounting surface (fence post or fencing rail) as well as a daily change in sunlight exposure. They were put to use on stairwells. They are attractive lights that are simple to install and maintain.
Warm White (approximately 2500 kelvin) is the color of traditional incandescent bulbs. Around 3000 to 4000 kelvin, cool and bright light is more of a white light. The higher the kelvin, the brighter the light, but it tends to the blue end of the scale at some point. For example, the new style car headlights have a very high kelvin temperature but do not appear to travel as far as the older halogen style when traveling at high speeds.

These seemed like they'd make nice little lights for the steps leading up to our swim spa. They're so bright, though, that they make the steps appear to be the main attraction, leaving the swim spa in the dark. I'm glad I haven't yet screwed them into the steps. These lights will undoubtedly be used by me- However, to shed light on it, it's most likely on the spa's perimeter fence. For the steps, I'll get smaller lights. They appear to be high-quality units in general. Because you have to match little holes in the backs of them to pegs you drive into the wood, I can see how difficult they'll be to mount. Aside from that, we are extremely pleased with our purchase and would buy them again without hesitation. If anything changes, I will make a new post. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. These lights are still as bright and stay on all night (at least in the Florida sun) six months later. I'm going to go out and get some more so that I can light up the entire deck.
The first night, all eight lights stayed on all night; as of June 23, only four of them remain on all night. I'll write another review before the return windows close, as I expect the remaining lights' performance to degrade. This product is truly disposable; I'm glad I got a chance to test them and won't have to deal with them again. br>br>The attached photos are time stamped; the first photo shows when the lights were turned on, and the subsequent photos show when each of the four lights stopped working.
These are fantastic. Because these were going to be on Stone, I didn't want to use a nail or screw, so I just used heavy duty double stick tape to mount them. They are extremely effective. This is at sunset, when it isn't even dark yet, and they have already begun to light up. Despite the fact that it was the middle of the night, they were still lit.
For the rest of the day, place it in direct sunlight. Even at 3 a. m. , all of the units were still shining brightly enough to illuminate a 5-foot area! I may or may not have been up until sunrise, but I did not stay up all night. One word of caution regarding this item: Handle them with the same caution as if they were light bulbs. They aren't particularly fragile, but if you bang them around like I did with two of them before getting them installed, the lense will crack. After seeing this weakness in areas where feet could hit them, etc. , I changed mounting locations on a few of them. br> UPDATE- I've ordered two more sets since my first purchase two years ago, and this has to be the best piece of outdoor equipment I've ever purchased. From a durability standpoint, EVERY ONE that I have purchased (I now have 24 of them and want more!) has exceeded my expectations. ), and the light output hasn't changed. I have most of them mounted in strategic locations on two screws that allow them to be lifted off and used as a portable light source while keeping them secure to the post, rail, etc. They're not as bright as a standard flashlight, but they're still very useful! br> Despite all of the benefits of these Solar Lights, their primary function remains the best: At night, a reliable light source that stays on all night! br> Only flaw is that in extremely wet conditions, they collect moisture on the inside of the lens, but they all work fine and dry out eventually. br> br> br> br> br> br> This is an excellent item.
They like the way these lights look, and they do an excellent job of lighting up the steps at night! br>br>A small number of the lights failed to turn on at night a few days after we installed them; they may have been defective, so I contacted customer service earlier today, and new lights will be delivered in a few days! So far, I'm very pleased with both the product and the customer service I've received.
First and foremost, I want to assure you that you will return for more. These solar deck lights are absolutely fantastic. We hung them around the perimeter of our pool and deck. They've been raining for five days in a row and they're still working. It was a breeze to put them up. For the majority of them, we used double-sided exterior tape. Three of them came with hardware, which we used for the rail on our deck steps. I like how they turn on automatically at my desk and continue to shine well into the morning hours; they were well packaged, and all of the lights worked. We now have 14 of them, with more on the way once I figure out where I'll put them.
Solar lights that are both affordable and of good quality. About two weeks ago, I installed 12 of these KASUN solar lights on my deck. I charged and tested them on an outdoor table with the switches turned on before putting them in. I moved on to the final installation after charging and activating all 12 in the dark. It was easiest for me to use a cardboard template to drill the mounting holes/screws with consistent and equal spacing. br>br>After the installation, I've been very pleased with the light output and style of these solar lights, and I've ordered another set of eight to use on my mailbox post and the last few deck posts. Now it's time to put these to the test over a few northeast seasons, though I do intend to bring them in for the winter.
I was looking for a product that would allow me to add solar lights to my deck. I chose this product because of the quantity (eight) and the size (fits easily on a 4X4 post). When I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised; these are a fantastic product that emit a lot of light. I was also impressed that they included a rechargeable AAA battery, so if there is ever a problem with the battery, you can simply replace it. My son unwrapped each package and placed it on the charging deck. We experimented with placement and discovered that one of these lights every 4 feet was sufficient to give the deck a nice nighttime glow. My only recommendation is that a diagram of the distance between the two screw mount points be included in the paper instructions. It was a little difficult for me to get the screws to line up perfectly when I was installing them. I'm sure it would have been easier if I had used a ruler, but who pulls out a ruler when mounting lights on a deck? This is more of a wing it situation. It's a fantastic product, and I'm considering purchasing more.
