They turn on at dusk and stay on until the sun comes up. The flood light feature activates when motion is detected, but it turns off after a short period of time. These lights are fantastic. We don't have any hardwired lighting on our back patio, so I bought these for it.

Please press the back button to turn them back on. Also, those who aren't getting enough sunlight to recharge their batteries might be at a disadvantage. Maybe something is obstructing their ability to receive direct sunlight. Check for trees or limbs that hang over the edge of the roof.

I mounted these lights on my fence in a dark area of my backyard, and they provide just enough light to see the area. The lighting also adds a stylish touch to the area. Because I couldn't drill holes in some places, I decided to cover all of the lights with gorilla double-sided tape. We live in a rainy, hot, and frequently windy climate, and it's held up admirably so far.
I ordered 24 of these lights and installed them on every third fence post on our vinyl fence, following the instructions to the letter (two centimeters down from the cap and seven centimeters up from the ground). 5 cm between holes) and drill bit sizing (which I can't recall now that I'm typing it out - apologies), but installation was simple once I found the right location and bit size; the anchors, however, are extremely cheap and bend far too easily. I quickly discovered that in wood and vinyl fencing, the lights were more secure if I simply used the screws with a small drill bit for a pilot hole. I also used one light on our shed (as seen in the photo) and I really like it. They're something I'd buy again and recommend to others.
Today, I installed these to illuminate a wooden ramp's path. They get the job done, but I was hoping for a little more brightness. They come with mounting hardware that will irritate those who prefer to "over engineer" their projects. Two small screws and two low-profile nuts make up the mounting hardware. wall anchors of high quality br>br>In general, I prefer to over-complicate things. I wanted to go to Home Depot but didn't have time, so I used the mounting hardware that came with the lights. A 1/4-inch drill bit is required. The anchor holes were drilled with a 1 inch drill bit. Because the philips head screws are so small, I didn't think I'd be able to use my impact driver, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it worked perfectly. I did discover one advantage of the cheesy plastic anchors, however. Because the light's metal backplate is very thin, you'll need to get the screw head's bottom very close to the wood to ensure a solid installation. After mounting two of the lights, I realized that I could drive the screw in close to the required depth and then lightly tap or gently press on the screw head to drive it in a little further. The rest of the mountings were completed much faster as a result of this. br>br>Overall, I'm satisfied with the lighting. They're not flawless, but they'll suffice for my needs.
Screw heads are small phillips heads that must be installed with care. They come with plastic inserts, but I cut them out before using them to avoid the large holes. Instead of using the plastic inserts, I drilled 3/32" pilot holes and simply used the screws. (In my case, pressure-treated wood was used. ) ) Knowing that these are marker lights and not walkway lights, they provide plenty of light. I bought a six-pack and intend to buy more now that I've seen how well they work. To replace the batteries, you'll need patience and a tiny phillips driver, as with all solar lights. So far, I'm extremely pleased with the product. For me, it's very close to being a five-star product.
I've only had the lights for a few days, but so far I'm very happy with them. All six were installed on the insides of the handrails halfway between posts around the perimeter of my sundeck, about 7 feet apart. They are exposed to the sun all day and turn on at dusk, all at roughly the same time, so I made a cardboard template with the two screw locations for installation. I slid the lights down and over the screw heads after almost completely screwing them into the wood rails. It's very simple. They have a sophisticated appearance at night. At night, the "look" has a nocturnal feel to it. lighting in the vicinity of hotels I am extremely happy.

Do not be fooled by the pictures, these lights put out very little light. I did not rate the installation because we placed them on top of the fence post they were supposed to go on before attempting to install them because we wanted to see how much light they put out. You get what you pay for, and these lights are not worth the money we paid for them. They may be worth half the price we paid for them, and if you need them for a very small space, they may be useful, but otherwise don't waste your time or money on them; they are not worth it. Also, don't believe the pictures that show them putting out this bright light; they actually put out the light of a small child's room night light.
These lights are perfect for my deck's stairwell! They're bright so you can see the steps and don't trip over them, and they're simple to put up.
