In just one day, everything was gone. 2 days. I'm forced to purchase in large quantities. For example, 24 blocks (2 cases of 12ea) for $60 bucks or something, just to get a reasonable unit cost (the $60 outlay is difficult to justify). I don't buy as much as I could because I don't want to pay $3 per block. If only you didn't have to win the lottery to buy it, this stuff would be a winner.
This is the only squirrel-deterrent food that my wild birds will eat. It has resolved the issue of squirrels consuming all of the bird food. Other rodents, which are always a problem when feeding birds, are also deterred, in my opinion. Woodpeckers, songbirds, chickadees, and a variety of other birds frequent my yard. I can't speak to the flavor, but this vendor was the most cost-effective, even cheaper than my local store.
It's the only suet I buy anymore because the birds seem to like it and the squirrels seem to like it as well. It lasts really well in the heat and doesn't melt. If you give them another type in that category, they will choose this one first.
It's the only suet that doesn't melt in our hot summer sun or in our freezing winter rains. Even better, it won't be eaten by squirrels or chipmunks! I'm grateful I was able to locate it here. I'm going to order more.
European starlings can't get enough of it, and sparrows, finches, and woodpeckers enjoy it as well. Every single day, by the middle of the afternoon, my birds have completed a full block of it. That, I believe, sums it up.
br>There's always one or two people who develop a taste for spicy foods! The blocks do not melt, but the birds break them up into small pieces that fall to the ground. They're a good product with a fair price from the seller.
Solid product that is simple to install in a suet cage. Hanging is a breeze. From woodpeckers to lovely little song birds, it's a hit with everyone. They formed a bond and shared their belongings as a group. br>Amazing fun. 6 feet from the viewing window, hung from a tree.
As stated in the title - To keep our squirrels away from other suet bricks, I'd been using cayenne pepper and/or ghost pepper sauce. The squirrels haven't been interested in the suet feeder since it was filled with these bricks, but the birds haven't given up on it. I decided to roll the dice on 24 cakes, and I'm glad I did.
