Questions & Answers

The lock prevents squirrel theft through the way it fills and locks?

I have a solution to this problem put the keyring through one of the door hoops, and the small carabiner through the other. To attach the keyring to the carabiner, clip it to the keyring. It wouldn't matter if the squirrel managed to get into the house through the open door. To add a little color to the cage, I also trimmed some small wood wedges. By hanging seeds from the bottom, squirrels are prevented from eating from it, while seeds are also prevented from falling to the ground.

In comparison to the suet cages, what are the actual measurements?

It was measured by me too, Nola The sum of 25 x 5 is 25. With a diameter of 25 inches, it could easily handle the standard You are in my best wishes.

Is it able to hold bulk suet like you would buy in a meat case at the grocery store?

Without a doubt. I think you wouldn't have any trouble packing it with store bought suet because the cage doors close securely.

The roof is made of what material? Is it strong enough to withstand gnawing by a squirrel?

I have made the roof from tin on my model. In the case of a squirrel, it would not be gnawed through.

There were lots of birds eating it, and there were a variety of squirrels attempting to get it
4/5

This suet feeder worked well, however it turned into a project for the feathered and furry creatures that inhabit my yard. The birds loved it and the squirrels tried their best to eat A pair of paper clips solved that problem, and everything appeared to be going according to plan. There were lots of woodpeckers taking advantage of the suet "cage", and then a large crow took advantage of it. It's a tie. " I will call it. Suddenly last night, I heard a distant crashing noise and was unable to figure out what it was. Although I'm not sure where the suet feeder went, it is no longer here. Raccoons seem to be the most likely culprit. The hardware store had some chain that I needed so that I could secure the suet feeder next time. I think I should set up a camera in my backyard at night to keep an eye on what is happening!.

It's taken off of the tree branches and opened by my squirrels
4/5

I have noticed that my squirrels take it off the branches and open it, eat the inside, and then throw it away. They have pulled it off the tree branches and other locations My search has led me to something helpful. After I close the feeder, I tie it with twist ties to prevent it from moving.

I am pleased with the product
5/5

The product I used was great. I put Hot Pepper Suets in it (one side at a time), and they got rid of the bird seed that squirrels were stealing! A thing I would change if I were in charge of the manufacturer The birds will enjoy perching on the rod if you add one! A tree branch was wired to the bottom of the feeder using a part of the limb. As the birds can now perch while they eat, it is much easier for them to feed.

Despite the fact that the doors need to be kept closed, it would be a great feeder! It is constantly busy at my home thanks to this suet feeder There have been as many as eight Downy Woodpeckers at one time feeding on it
5/5

Holds four suet cakes, which you can either put in the basket with the plastic tray or without, depending upon the way your birds like to access the suet. I would like to know how much cleanup you are willing to do. My house is far enough from the forest for the raccoons to be able to access those cakes, as has been stated by others. There are many sizes of these available on Amazon "Spring Snaps" are easy to find through a simple search. Additionally, you can purchase these from your local This is a highly recommended book. We appreciate your feedback and invite you to click Yes below if you found it helpful. Thanks a lot!.

This feeder is the perfect solution for you! I am very happy about this
5/5

In my opinion, this is a really nice, well made product. I purchased it to replace my single suet feeder and I am immensely There are four individual cages that can easily be filled and latch tight. As soon as I hung it on my feeder, my regular feeder visitors started enjoying it. The feeder ls much more stable than my single feeder and does not sway at all. It is convenient for the larger woodpeckers because there is a bigger surface to hang on to. I've never received an item packaged so well as this one, even though I do a lot of online shopping. Thank you very much for taking the time to make sure this item got to me in good shape.

The feeder is well constructed and durable
5/5

Despite its simplicity, this feeder is well built. Despite being easy to open, it isn't so loose that a squirrel would be able to break in. There is a metal roof on the building There is an overhang on the suet to keep it protected. A flat tray feeder is hung from the base of my bird feeder to catch droppings from landing on the ground. I originally did this in order to prevent my dogs from eating the suet that fell to the ground. However, birdwatchers seem to find it has been more beneficial. In the tray feeder, the larger birds (brown thrashers, blue jays, etc. ) now consume the droppings. A single scrap of suet does not go to waste. A much better product than my last double feeder which had a plastic roof that cracked over time due to the hot summers in the South.

I hope the birds are happy
5/5

You can see the photo here. In the past, I've heard that it needs to be hung against something, such as a tree or a deck rail, so the woodpeckers can have a tail prop, but clearly you don't have to do that. Those are the kind of feeders I bought, and my birds are very happy with them.

I love the way this feeder looks, it's made well, and it's lasted through direct sunlight and hard rain
5/5

On both sides we can hang the suet cakes, and large and small birds can easily perch on the feeder. A bit of swing is present from the hook of the feeding station, but not enough to interfere with the weight shifting or feeding process. It also comes with very sturdy latches and a hanger. I love the quality and design, especially with the double sided feature that is loved by the many bird species that have made their homes in the trees surrounding my backyard. The number of birds that have come into the "our area", making it their habitat, has increased drastically this year. Out there, it has become like an aviary! A terrific feeder! I highly recommend it!.
