There is plastic in the orange cup, as well as in the ornament, but the 'cage' that contains them is metal. The material is easy to maintain and durable. I have been using this feeder for my favorite oriole for quite some time.
If I had to return it, I would. In mine, I have a cup that is orange.
Yes, I agree! There is a jelly cup included with it.

As I researched online, I discovered that they are orioles. I then looked into what they prefer eating, which led me to select this feeder. As soon as I hung it up, half a dozen orioles gobbled it up like it was food. At the end of the day, the oranges had all been picked clean and the grape jelly had been consumed. It is so much fun to watch my cats watching hopping birds on the feeder while sitting in the window. There is just something so fascinating about
I read other reviews that said the wire was cheap and weak. The plastic cup was thick, sturdy, and very well built. The orange color was excellent and looked very nice on the table. Another one of these would be a pleasure for me to buy.
In the previous picture, I impaled two orange halves onto the wire at the top. There is a possibility that the decorative heart might be left off in order to reduce cost Despite the dangle, the birds were unconcerned with it. Please be aware Fructose is the only sugar you should use You can get jelly from this feeder for free. There's no need to go to a special store to purchase this product. There seems to be a problem with fructose digestion in birds Products that contain a lot of calories.
It was used first time during the Spring migration of 2018 after I purchased it and used it. Baltimore Orioles had never been attracted to my feeder before, and I tried one more time with no success. The fact that so many people have had success with this feeder prompted me to give it a shot. When I opened it the first day, there was grape jelly and orange halves inside, but nothing else. It was as if the heavens opened and rained Baltimore Orioles on the second day. There were dozens of them waiting in line on the trees to be fed. It's likely I'll have more than one feeder next year.
According to the description, this product is exactly as described. We have some really smart, pesky squirrels who like the bird type grape jelly - I think the feeder is a bit annoying because of the squirrels' taste for the jelly - so we have a problem with the Oriole Feeder. You can also eat any other edibles. It was hung out every day for 5 days straight. It never fails that whenever I went to retrieve the feeder to clean the dish and refill it, I found both the feeder and the dish - I am not sure how I came to find them. There was no food left in the dish at all Ground is covered in snow. My guess is that a bird did not get to taste Having just oranges without the jelly dish did not work because squirrels stole them. Despite having a large population of squirrels, I think the feeder would be a great addition to someone without such a population. There may be some clamp the manufacturer can add to the feeder to keep the dish in place - perhaps he can add that. Taking advantage of this would not deter my very brave and brazen squirrels from getting into mischief.
There was a division among the orioles about this one, so I decided to include it so they would have more than one place to go for their favorite I was very happy with how this turned out. It was quickly picked up by the orioles. A halt was reached to the bickering. It was a happy day for everyone. In addition to being made of plastic, the orange dish for the jelly has an easy-to-wash surface. It would be easy for me to take the dish out and put it (along with leftover grape jelly) in a zip lock bag and store it in the fridge while leaving the frame of the feeder displayed outside. It would be dangerous to leave the jelly out overnight in my neighborhood because of the raccoons. It is worth noting that I do add a rain baffle above this on wet days, as this little bowl will fill up with water otherwise. There are extra rain baffles here and I put one over the feeder if necessary. This feeder is an excellent buy for the money. It would also make a great gift for friends who love to watch birds. Aside from mealworms, you could also put seeds or other things in the feeder for birds if you don't live near an orca colony.
That feeder is awesome! I love it so much. This was a much larger and heavier package than I expected. I love how bright and pretty it makes my feeding station look. I anticipated that this would draw songbirds from the day I hung it, and even the larger birds stare in fascination as they stretch in from other perches to take a nibble of grape jelly. It has been a great purchase for me.
In this case, the package did not contain a box, but a mailing envelope. One petal of the flower was broken when it was delivered bent way out of shape. Metal coat hangers are thin and flimsy, much like the metal of the metal of the metal. The item was returned and a more durable one is on the way.
What a great idea! It looks good, and is functional as well! My bird feeder was found the very next day after it was put up! *This product is fine. I chose it because you can get it with orange slices and grape jelly - It is what you want. The two of them love each other!.
