Standard suction cups with hooks can be used in their place; simply remove the hooks.
Yes. You don't have to fill it with anything. If you want to clean it, that's all you have to do.
The suction cups on our large feeder are of high quality and keep the feeder in place. Without fail, it was firmly affixed to your window or any other smooth surface.
They didn't come to mine, unfortunately. In a few weeks, there might be two birds! On the deck, I realized that my large umbrella might be scaring them away. Only a squirrel would enter, but the squirrel was attempting to gain access to the window by jumping up on my screen door! So I lowered it to the ground on my sliding glass door, where it now receives a lot of traffic. Even if he's tearing up my screen, he's not a squirrel!

Outside our office window, we hung this. The next morning, a bird discovered it and was happily eating until my cat discovered it and leapt toward it, becoming tangled in the blinds, flipping around, and knocking over the computer monitor. Since then, there have been no more sightings of the birds.
It takes a month or two for the birds to adjust. I can be walking around in my room and the sparrows/finches don't seem to notice me, but the Cardinals are still wary. When I went to refill it, I placed it too low on my window, causing a mess on the outside sill, so be careful where you put it. If you leave a window cracked, keep an eye out for bird mites. Refilling is a breeze. Because I'm on the second floor, all I have to do is open my window, reach out, and either slide out the tray, dump the scraps, or fill it. Alternatively, you can reach out with a dixie cup full of seeds to replenish your supply. It's been on since February when I placed my order, and I'm really enjoying it so far! My cat is sometimes patient with the birds, and other times she scares them away. It's also fascinating to look up and learn about the various types of birds that visit the feeder.
I liked this product so much that I put it on a 5 ft. glass door in my sunroom that was not being used. higher than the ground I watched a squirrel attempt to reach it several times over the course of a week. After that, something unexpected occurred. Finally, the squirrel came into contact with my black oil seeds and happily perched itself in the middle of them. The good news is that the suction on the feeder was never lost. I may not be motivated enough to try different methods to keep the squirrels away because I bought it mostly for my cat's entertainment. Hopefully, you'll have better luck, as the product is excellent!.
I'm very happy with it, and as you can see, the suction is strong enough to hold a larger bird; it was simple to put together, and it's survived a couple of strong wind and rain storms. If you want to enjoy watching birds from your window, I highly recommend this feeder.
This is something I really like having. I was hesitant at first because I wasn't sure if the suction cups would hold (I live on the third floor, and a plastic object would most likely crack if it fell to the ground). The suction cups, on the other hand, work flawlessly. I've never had a problem with them slipping or moving around at all. br>br>I've read in other reviews that the birds can take some time to find the feeder. For me - Perhaps because I'm already higher up and my window is surrounded by several large trees - It was almost immediately discovered by the birds. I'd order it again without a doubt.
This thing was discovered by the birds in less than a week! I was concerned about the suction cups because I live on the second floor, but they have yet to detach themselves from the window! So far, it's attracted a whole flock and a half of bluejays, as well as one woodpecker, and it stays put even when the massive bluejays slam into it to land! br>br>My only remaining concern is that the removable tray comes out very easily; in fact, it comes out so easily that I've had to tape the front to keep it from slipping out! Perhaps a lock or latch would be included in a future design to address this issue. br>br>Otherwise, it's well worth the money!.
There's a lot of suction power here. He was able to hold a pair of grown Cardinals for a brief moment before she kicked him out. br>In the heat of the day, birds appear to hang out and eat. Yellow finches and Cardinals have been attracted to sunflower seeds. When the hulls begin to outnumber the seeds, they alert us. They'll give us a sidelong glance and tilt their heads as if to say, "We need some seed over here. ".
I discovered a squirrel attempting to jump up there, which he could reach (which was a plus; you can always leave them something on the ground and put this up high where they can't reach) However, you can see right through it, which is cool. We just put it up, so we're hoping the birds will notice it and come over to investigate. So far, it has lived up to expectations! It appears that the suction power is adequate. It appears to be in good condition. I hope the video conveys a "real" impression. It's a fantastic idea!.
