Questions & Answers
Yes, I believe this hitch is compatible with the majority of zero turn mowers.
It was a tight fit for my Z254, but it worked. One of the bolts had to be pounded through because the hole alignment wasn't perfect. br>It claims to fit the entire Z200 series, but some other brands appear to have wider holes and more tolerance. From the photographs, it's difficult to tell.
As long as the towing vehicle does not make contact with the bolt, it is safe.
It's not made for a ball; instead, it's made for the pin-style attachments that come standard on most lawn tractors.

I like the product because it is made of thick steel and has strong bolts. My Husqvarna Z254F has four holes in it. 5" measured from center to center, as stated on the product. The bolts, however, were unable to pass through the mower's frame. Either the holes on this hitch are a little too far apart, or the holes on the back of the mower frame are a little closer than the ones on the front. I'm not sure whether the hitch or the mower frame is the source of the problem. I thought about using a hammer to force the bolts through, but I didn't want to ruin the threads. I eventually got it to work by rotating the bolts into the holes in the frame, almost like screwing them in, while holding the bracket away from the frame by about 1/2 inch, allowing the threads to bite into the holes on the back of the frame. As I tightened the bolts, the hitch was snugly secured to the frame. The nut isn't required because the bolts are already so tight. But, just in case, I used the nuts as well. The end result is a very sturdy hitch that I don't think will ever come loose, but it was unexpectedly difficult to put together. br>br>screwing the bolts into the frame while holding the bracket 1/2 inch away from the frame and inserting the bolts so that they rested at the back of the frame.
For a zero turn, this is a fantastic item. So you can pull things like a lawn cart, a lawn sweeper, and so on. It's a great value and it's very sturdy. With all of the necessary hardwear for a straightforward installation. Shipping was extremely quick. I'm overjoyed to have discovered yet another fantastic item on Amazon.
I'm very pleased with it, and I've already used it to pull a tool to smooth out my yard, which worked flawlessly.
The hitch was simple to install and is made of extremely thick steel. It's exactly what I needed to tow my utility trailer behind my zero-turn vehicle.
Installing on a Husqvarna Z200 series zero-turn mower. The bolt holes have a very tight tolerance, even with the elongated mounting hole on one side. I was on the verge of having to rewrite the entire thing. To accommodate the hitch, drill the manufacturer's mounting holes, but a little "persuasion" with a BFH solved the problem.
Because the bracket is so sturdy, it should be able to handle the pull cart with ease when it arrives.
It was the perfect fit for my Husqvarna Z254. It came with everything you'll need to set it up, and it's incredibly simple to do so. In addition, it is extremely durable.
This was purchased to be used in conjunction with our zero-turn mower for hauling. It's fantastic.
