It has a substantial feel to it as well. It is not a low-cost product. It fit perfectly on my mower with no problems, and it starts easily with a pull. It's also half the price of a Honda OEM part, and there's no catching or strange noises (as I've heard from other, less expensive aftermarket recoils). br>br>If this article was helpful in making your decision, please like my review so that others can find it more easily.
Fits my hrc216 lawn mower perfectly. It performs as expected. After a season of professional use, there have been no issues to report, and I would purchase this product again.
Easy to install and as good as or better than the original part, which had only one flaw: the cord wore out over time. br>br>Hint: If the starter fails and you're in a hurry, remove the top portion of the assembly and the pull cord, then use a 3/4" socket and a portable drill to replace it. This should suffice to get your engine going. It requires less effort than pulling a cord, but it is more cumbersome to transport.
The rope is significantly thinner and longer than the original Honda part, and it fits the HRC215KSXA perfectly. If any problems with functionality or durability arise, I will update this review. br>br>*update 10/4/2019* 3 years later, everything is still working perfectly.
ZG9- My Honda has a number of 803 on it. As a replacement for 28400-, it's not quite right. ZG9- My Honda Harmony HRB215 has a serial number of 803 on it. The screw holes were a little too far apart, but with a lot of pushing, I was able to get it to fit, and it works. It appears to be a high-quality part that has only been used once. Because it didn't fit properly, I gave it three stars.
The part is a perfect fit for the Honda mower and costs a fraction of the price of an OEM Honda part.
My older Honda Harmony SX215 fits and functions perfectly. The photos looked similar to the one I had, so I ordered it with the knowledge that I could return it if it didn't fit. In ten minutes, I was back in business with a phillips screwdriver and a 10mm socket.
The new version is superior to the old. My Honda HRC 216 K1 HXA mower had no problems with it. The item arrived promptly and was exactly as described.
