Selected User Reviews For Worx WA0004 (2) Replacement Trimmer Line for Select Cordless String Trimmers
I have a Worx weedeater that runs on this line, and I've been buying it for a long time. There is one. Because the yard is 1/2 acre in size, it necessitates a lot of trimming. Because there is only 10 feet of line on these small spools, this isn't a particularly good value for money. I've discovered that it's not very long-lasting because it eats up line. br>What you should be aware of, however, is something I discovered with my most recent purchase. I attached one spool of line - I was doing my regular trimming and noticed how quickly it devoured the line. So I went out and bought the second spool - two for the price of one - As I was installing it, I began to look at it more closely. I'd be able to keep pulling the line out indefinitely if I wanted to. It refused to lock in at around 7:00 p. m. 5 to 6 inches tall. The line had been installed backwards from the factory, as I discovered. I got rid of the entire line that was going in the opposite direction. I removed it and reinstalled it in the opposite direction - I did this according to the picture on the back of the package, which shows it going clockwise, and I had no more problems after that; basically, I lost one entire spool of line due to a factory control issue. br>As for the WORX line's manufacturing location - I was unable to locate the location of manufacture on the package. br>For the sake of the environment, it would be ideal if the spools could be recycled - send them back to the company in exchange for a coupon for future purchases, etc. br>I'll say this is a DNA Line 2 - Helix with two strands. I haven't looked into buying the line on a larger spool and respooling it onto these spools. This is why the rating is so low. br>These issues are the reason for the low rating. I'm going to buy another box of these spools to see if they're made properly.
While trimming tall weeds, I misplaced the original spool that came with my trimmer. On Amazon, I looked up spools and discovered an original WORX spool package with two spools. Given that I refill as needed, I only needed one. I was hesitant to order it after reading the reviews, but I took a chance and ordered it anyway. To begin with, it came in its original WORX packaging (as opposed to previous reviews). A plus. It was a perfect fit for my trimmer, and I've already put it to good use. Previous reviews claiming that the string was insufficient were found to be false (when used for personal purposes at home). I don't understand the negative reviews because I have no issues with the product and the price was significantly lower than on the WORX website; I couldn't find any original spools in any big box stores, so I was pleased that the product was genuine and readily available on Amazon.
Because the Worx weed eater is already frugal with twine, these will fit it perfectly and are exactly what comes with it when you purchase it. They are perfectly wound, do not jam/get stuck due to improper winding, and last a long time; I weed eat about once a month, and one spool lasts at least half the season, and yes, I have a lot of areas to weedeat on my acre. The Worx weed eater, as previously stated, is frugal with twine. No worries about winding the twine in the wrong direction, accidentally overlapping layers, or holding the cartridge firmly in your hands while simultaneously trying to tightly wind twine - it doesn't spit out more than you need (resulting in waste), and only feeds more if the length is too short. The price was UNBELIEVABLE for the two of them - if you can find it in stock, about 25 of what you would pay at the wallyworld joint br>At this price (I believe it was around $4), I highly recommend this product. 24 for 2? NO, I am not a paid reviewer, and I have no vested interest in writing this review other than to assist other Amazon customers who are considering making a purchase. Personally, I despise what Amazon is allowing to happen with starred ratings becoming "skewed" by years and years of reviewers who were given a free product in exchange for an "honest" review. My review is based on my own personal experience with this product, and I'm taking time out of my busy schedule to do my part to help other real-life purchasers recognize a TRULY GOOD product and a GOOD BUY when they read my review.
I get at least half of these spools every time I order them, with the line breaking half-way through. It goes all the way through and then melts to the last line, rendering them useless. I have 8 spools that have broken halfway or less out of the last 20 I've purchased. The last two spools I tried broke in less than two minutes of use this evening. They are completely useless and a complete waste of money. I'm never going to purchase another Worx product. br>br>Amazon isn't much better. They won't give me a refund unless I return the items "new and unopened"! Amazon is no longer an option for me.
I'm not sure if these are genuine products from the manufacturer. They certainly advertise as such, showing them in their original packaging as if they were purchased off the shelf at Home Depot or Lowe's, but these arrived as separate spindles with no packaging. Is this a genuine item or a rip-off?.
It's possible that the line for my Worx string trimmer is the correct one. But why isn't it included in the original box? My most recent order arrived in its original packaging, similar to what you'd find at Home Depot. Although I could be mistaken, receiving a product in a baggie makes me uneasy. I'll give it a shot, but I'm not sure I'll be successful, and I have no qualms about returning anything.
This has a lot of sturdiness to it. The cover on my trimmer, which I bought over 5 years ago, just broke. After 5rs, I've trimmed quite a few yards, so I can vouch for Worx's quality.
My GT trimmer and blower from Works are fantastic. The show is still going strong. The original string had finally run out. The OE type was chosen because it lasts longer and performs well. There are no issues.
