I'd need more information because Craftsman makes so many, but looking at your spool and then looking at these pictures should get you started. Black is my favorite color. Decker was the cheapest, and I needed it, so I went to a local hardware store, where they wanted $9. 00 for just one spool, I decided that it was well worth my time to figure out my part number so I could buy the correct ones, so take a few minutes to look through the part numbers and find Yours; after all, you are the one who will be paying. Wages per hour are good for you. As I am fond of saying: If you don't go big, you won't be able to afford to go home.

It's a black one, and it's mine. It's a Decker, and it's effective. Apart from that, I'm not sure.

TODAY, I TRIED USING THIS STRING AND MADE IT THROUGH THREE SPOOLS. NONE OF THEM WOULD FEED, AND IT WAS AS IF THE STRING HAD CUTS IN IT, AS IT KEEP BREAKING OFF AND REFUSING TO FEED. TAKING THE TOOL APART AND MANUALLY FEEDING THE STRING TOOK UP MORE TIME FOR ME. I TRYED ONE OF THE NEW SPRINGS AND BOTTOMS AS WELL. SHOOT ALL THREE SPRINGS WERE DIFFERENT LENGTHS, BUT THIS DID NOT HELP WITH THE FEED PROBLEM. TOMORROW I HAVE TO GO TO LOWES TO BUY BLACK AND DECKER STRING TO COMPLETE THE YARD.
So far, I've tried two spools, and both have failed miserably. The first one appears to be wound up incorrectly because it does not move when I press the button to advance out some of the trimmer line. When I removed the cover, the line appeared to be coming out of the middle of the spool, but it was pinched due to the way it was wound around the spool. The same thing happened when I tried a second spool. What a squandering of my hard-earned cash. This has never happened with any other spool vendor from whom I've purchased spools. For this item, I would not recommend this seller.
When you buy something on Amazon for a low price, you get something on Amazon for a low price. It was inconvenient to have to stop every few minutes to advance the spool; it was not worth it.
They resemble the original Black in appearance. Decker spools, but their taper where they meet the spindle is too wide, causing them to bind and refuse to untangle. During use, the spool will spool. I tried lubricating it as well, but it didn't help. Every time I needed more, I had to take the cover off and manually advance the line. I had to redo the whole thing. a genuine B spooling the line D spool. The line worked fine after that, but I should have bought bulk line rather than pre-made. spooled.
These spools are just a smidgeon too big, resulting in a complete failure to feed, rendering them completely useless. br>Because my old trimmer was having trouble feeding these spools, I had to purchase a new one. That worked great until I ran out of the factory spool that came with it, then I tried these and they didn't feed at all. The inner diameter of the spool appears to be slightly larger than that of the factory spools upon closer inspection. It binds up as a result of this. It's possible to turn it by hand, but it's not good enough to work.
Because of normal use, the original cap cover for the line spool has cracked. The kit was simple to put together and fit perfectly. Repair parts were included in the kit, as well as parts for two additional repairs if they were needed in the future. Furthermore, 12 pre-loaded spools will save me a lot of time and effort in the future, and the seller delivered the parts promptly. In two days, I had my trimmer up and running. The parts are well-made and seem to be more durable than the originals.
For my lawn trimmer, I ordered what I considered to be a great deal. I was completely incorrect in my assumption. Although these spools appear to be identical, they do not function properly. The spring caps aren't the same as the others. The springs are longer, and my trimmer's auto-cut feature is on. These generic spools do not advance when fed by a feeder. When the thread gets low, I literally have to remove the cap and advance it myself. My guess is that the thread is a little too thick, or that the manufacturer made a mistake in figuring out how to make the spring work properly. In any case, it's a waste of money because it simply doesn't work.
I've used three of the twelve spools, and two of them became stuck and refused to feed from the weed eater. The third time was the charm. I'm not pleased with these, especially since the description stated that they would work with my Black and Decker. I'm not sure if the ones I still have will work. Sticking with the original Black and Decker brand has taught me a valuable lesson.
