The issue is

The trimmer had to be cut down to fit, as the item was purchased for a cub cadet. As a result, the handle screw could not be closed tightly, but that was okay. Only worked one time and it has the same problem as the switch it replaced. Maybe this is the end of the line, the spring doesn't return to the ON position unless you put it back there I had a similar problem with the other switch, but it suddenly stopped working completely and I was having trouble figuring it all out over the course of the day, gas, plug-in, and finally a dead switch, so if my wife operated it I would Would I have been better off if I had shopped, or were Can you please refund my money?.

A perfect replacement for the OEM part

I could not be happier with the quality of this OEM replacement for my Craftsman String Trimmer. It lasted 10 years in its original form. It's in my best interest to make this one last.
