In the filter, there is a 78-digit number.
You should be careful when making a purchase. Pieces of junk that are counterfeits. There is some obvious difference in the way the original is built when you look inside. A box on which it is stated, "Made in India. ". A tip off like that should do the trick. Authentic B&G boxes are not the same design and color as yellow paint, nor are the boxes the same yellow color as authentic B&G boxes. We offer replacement parts for our products. In addition, they are about 2mm shorter than the original OEM part 696854 from B&Q Designed and manufactured in the United States. My expensive rider mower is not going to take the risk of putting these pieces of garbage on it. A problematic filter will allow debris back into the engine through the filtration holes on the inside of the filter. You can see the pleated paper quite clearly behind a blade of thin metal (that looks like cheap, weak aluminum) near the centre of the filter. In October, during last season's holiday shopping, I bought these to get them ready for 2018. They are past their return date now. The trash has already been emptied of these. I am outraged by a waste of money. Neither the product or its packaging can guarantee authenticity. The lessons learned from this experience made me aware of the importance of inspecting merchandise thoroughly for fake/counterfeit goods. To avoid similar circumstances, it is best to order directly from the manufacturer to ensure that the product is genuine OEM. This is what I did when I ordered off of eBay. The price of them was only $0. 01 on the manufacturer's site The price per filter has gone up by 45 cents. I learned from this experience.
As you can see from the illustration, the filter does not have one larger hole as it would appear at first glance. In addition, it is not stamped with AA. It does not appear to be a sticker on the outside. Take a look at other reviews for pictures. Despite the fact that it works, I am only rating it 2 stars based on the strange discrepancy between what is shown and what is delivered.
The website does not exist. Purchasing this from Amazon twice has been a good experience. We are not resellers of the products. I got what I believe to be a Briggs and Stratton oil filter for the first time. It seems that the latest one I received from Amazon isn't identical to my original one, which has left me wondering whether it could be a fake. It's the "HAND TIGHTEN ONLY" ARROW POSITIONING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION that really caught my eye. A AA is also visible on the top of the previous two old ones. It does not in the latest version. The labeling was incorrect and it took an unsuccessful attempt to screw it on backwards to discover it. It worked, but I am really suspicious of purchasing any other products. I ordered some water filters a few years ago which turned out to be fakes.
The price of 3 individual boxes is typically less than that of the price of purchasing 3 pack (after checking out the prices closely, you may see that buying 3 individual boxes is less expensive than buying quantity and each sealed in a Based on user reviews, yellow 696854 b& w is a good choice As far as I know, the oil filters I received are not authentic I agree that they appear to be different from the older version and that the box says made in India. The ones I received from Amazon are real ones as confirmed by Amazon's customer support It was also pointed out that perhaps they now outsource them Obviously, I am not concerned as long as they are not made in China The following is an excerpt from B&N Send me an email at Thank you for your inquiry, John.
Hello, John, thank you very much. There is a very good chance that the oil filter is made in India, and the part is a genuine Briggs & Stratton part. I have a part for the Stratton, while I have a part for the Briggs & stratton. The company continues to manufacture a wide range of engines and products in the United States. This is the Briggs & Stratton scale Milwaukee, WI, continues to be the company's headquarters as well. Thousands of people in our country are killed by auto accidents every year. Over ten million engines have been built in factories around the world using parts from both countries. 99%
of walk mower engines and 99%
of ride mower engines are made in the USA from parts sourced from the US and around the world. Item made by Briggs & Stratton The Strattons have been committed to the United States. Production is about 75% at Briggs & Stratton, and 85% at Briggs & Stratton All Stratton products are produced in the United States. The U. is with you. Components from all over the world.
A product like this was first purchased by me and it was made in the A year later I bought a second one, which was made in India with the rotational arrow facing the wrong way. That would not be a good way to protect a lawn tractor, would it? It wasn't this guy. It ended up in the trash. Although I am not sure whether the two items were shipped from different vendors or what, the second one appeared to be.
In my original review, I had given the product 1 star because the wrong part was There is a discrepancy between the part number on the box and the part number on the filter. I then attempted to install it and it wouldn't fit. I spent a substantial amount of money going to a local hardware store to get a new filter, but the same issue persists at home. In addition, the screws did not seem to screw in well, as if the threads were faulty. I had been quite confident that I had the right part, so I played with it a bit until the threads were caught correctly and the screw was secured. Also, when I tested with the Amazon filter, it screwed in as well. I was looking for an equivalent part number to the one on the label. I bought both Briggs and Stratton filters (Amazon and local hardware store), so I'm not sure if the issue screwing in is normal for Briggs and Stratton filters, or if my mower is the culprit. Due to this, it gets 4 out of 5 stars. Aside from that, the Amazon price is way better than the local hardware store, and the local store classified the filter I got as Premium while the one I got that was much more expensive was classified as Standard.
I am the lucky one with the All of us want it to be I ordered one for the second time. I started out with the oem yellow Briggs & stratton. I didn't want to get the same filter again, so I ordered a new one that comes with a plastic protector. I love it! Thanks a lot. Here's the update A five pack of cigarettes was ordered. The reviewers now have bogus filters, since I've seen that other reviewers are also facing this issue. The filters from Briggs & Stratton do not come with laser printing. There is a sticker label on each one. It is done with a cheap laser machine and it is possible to rub off the lettering by applying light IB & IB The S does not make this filter, so we apologize for that. There's a difference of about 3/16th of an inch. This is not something I would put on my Briggs. BEING A BUDDY FOR THE LAST TIME. A hundred dollars was ripped off from me! Please note that you are purchasing at your own risk.
