I believe so, but I'd double-check with the user's manual. The Deere website has the user manual, which is well worth the time investment. I've used the AM125424 several times and have had no problems doing so as directed in the user manual. My knee- In my jerk opinion, it would fit because the 100 series engines don't seem to differ all that much. Again, the best source of information is the manual.
Selected User Reviews For John Deere OEM Oil Filter #AM125424
Yes, this is the original oil filter for most John Deere lawn mowers, but it's no different from any other filter. I've been using the Motorcraft FL- for a while now. On my D130, the 400S is a little too long and rubs against the plastic cowl, so I'll be switching to the smaller version (FL-1) of this filter. 910S or equivalent) will fit perfectly because of the slightly shorter design. Many mainstream car filters, such as these, can be found for half the price of this one, with significantly more filtering media and silicone anti-drain protection. (as opposed to rubber) back valves If you compare this filter to mainstream automotive equivalents, you might as well throw away the extra money you're spending on it. There isn't anything to gain from this.
Filter is made in the United States and is of good quality. This was bought for a new John Deere D130 lawn mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine. For comparison, I also bought a Briggs filter for the same application to use with the Stratton 22 horse engine. The Briggs is made in India and has a lighter weight and a more casual feel. The two filters are also designed differently on the inside. The general consensus is that the John Deere filter is of noticeably higher quality, and thus worth the few extra dollars it might cost-- especially since the filter is so important in protecting an investment like a new D130 mower.
The description said it was an AM125424, but the one I got was an AM125424c; I'm not sure what the "c" stands for, or if it's two different filters. In any case, the filter is functional.
For my e100, I use OEM, which came with the Deere kit. Filter is simple to use and effective; replace it every 50 hours (I use regular 5w-35 oil). The filter is changed every 50 hours and the filter is changed every 20 hours. There may be better quality filters on the market, but it's not worth the time and effort to look for them when I can just buy the kit every year and have my problem solved. It's not a Lamborghini, but it's close.
To replace my old oil filter on my D140, I purchased this.
The oil filter wrench I've always used on the original John Deere filters does not fit these, so even though I saved a few bucks on the filter, I'll have to buy a new wrench now to get it off next oil change. Despite the fact that the number on the box does not, the part number on the filter now has a "c" at the end, which it did not have on previous purchases. Next time, I'll go with a brand that can be swapped out, such as Fram or Purolator.
It's difficult to be enthralled by the prospect of reviewing an oil filter. I usually go to the dealer, but I didn't require any additional services. As a result, it was more convenient to simply bring it here. The shipping was quick, and there were no surprises because it was an OEM replacement. OEM is the only way to go. Five out of five stars.
I'm not going to take the chance of using it. I've contacted them to see what they have planned. It also does not appear to be the same as the image on Amazon!.
