Questions & Answers
It is called the Timber Tough Unlike other tow hitches, the 70 has no direct connection to a trailer Using the tongue on the front, the log is supposed to be strapped around. It is a way to measure the performance of new technologies As far as I'm concerned, the 70 can be strapped anywhere along the log, but I've usually strapped it at the far end, and then tow the log from the front end (with a tractor).
If you don't have a chocker, you would need one. You can attach some other attachment as well. It is really only possible to attach the log dolly to the middle or end of the log itself.
You are correct, but note the other side of the log is the side you will be towing that would be the end you are going to hook up with the vehicle.
This is not a device made to have a hook attached to it. It's more of a means of keeping the end of the log off the ground and thus, off the ground while Rather than chaining the log directly to the tractor, I think you'd be better off just doing that. If you want the wheels to be at the far end of the log, you can place them in the middle

The 6-inch version of this is simple to make The sections are eight feet long. On the chain, the clamping mechanism appears to work, but it can be finicky to operate at times. The log is not too heavy, so I pull it with the rope and drag the log with the rope It works as expected. I would be happy to buy from you again.
Not as fragile as it appears. It looks like the tires are fine. A woodchuck timber jack was used to raise one side of the log about eight inches off the ground using a timber jack more or less in the center. My skates were able to slide to a point more or less in the middle because of this. With the log's front lifted, I was then able to attach the log's front to the hitch with ease. I can use this device without problems.
My tires need to be filled before I can use this product.
The wheel bearings of this machine fail in a very short period of time because it is very well designed. My personal preference is for a spindle and cone bearing set up that is much more durable. Despite the thin bearings, I was able to pull 4 logs that were no larger than 15" before the bearings pretty much failed. tried finding a set of bearings that was more durable but so far (two sets) I haven't made any progress. Apart from that, the product greatly reduces the risk of dirt getting sucked into the logs and makes towing easy. Could you please let me know what bearing to replace and what size to choose!.
That's a cool I'm not sure if the dinky wheels can carry that weight or not, but I don't know for sure. My box came to me damaged with parts missing, so I had to buy another order. Packaging needs beefing up more, parts were missing n the box came to me damaged. Boxes like these are needed when heavy items are involved.
It was a sketchy terrain on which to drive this thing and I put more than I should have on it. When I looked back, I noticed that the tires were flat and squeezed down. Despite my best efforts, I was not able to kill it.
Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect, but this thing is a beast. I hooked it up to my winch on my 650 and dragged logs all day long through wet I had no problems handling the work with it. I found the chains to be a bit short, but they worked just.
It gives me the weight I need behind an ATV for a good price, is sturdy and solid, and it's easy to assemble. What's not to like? I'm satisfied A good option to consider.
