It just took me a couple of minutes to assemble There are no obvious problems, and it seems to be a pretty decent product for the money. Despite this, if you do not know how to assemble and maintain chain saws, this tool will be useless to Upon receiving the tool, you are instructed that it will need to be assembled. In order to remove the bar, place it beneath the head of a drill press, insert the Phillips bit into the drill press, and lock the bit in place until it is In order to remove the screw, one can exert sufficient torque on the bit while holding it seated while gripping it with the wrench. Any person who is familiar with chain saw mechanisms and has ample hands can assemble the tool after that.
I put it together. Oil was poured into the vessel. My counter top was covered in 1/4 of a tank of oil when I went inside and came out. A single use was leaked before it was even opened! There was a substantial leak at the bottom of the tank, it was approximately 1/5 - 2/5 of a tank’s worth of oil leaking out. As of now I would not waste your money on this POS even if I could get it replaced.
I filled it with bar and chain oil and sure enough, within minutes it was leaky in a few places. I placed the motor on a flat surface, and it leaked oil regardless of the way I laid it. Throughout the paper manual and the plastic bag containing the chain were scattered the instructions for installing the The chainsaw is still relatively easy to assemble (but, let's be honest, it's a chainsaw, so let's make it CLEANER so nobody cuts themselves). While cutting a mesquite tree, a few slices were successful, but the mess from oil was not worth the effort and I had to return to the site. Once you fix the leaking issues, make some small adjustments to the manual, it could be a good product. For now, I'm passing.
Even though I had it seated tightly, the chain repeatedly slipped off. Having the chain in place worked well when it did stay in place. Despite this, when the chain slipped the final time, it did not come back You are seated. Do you know if there was a defective chain delivered with it? Due to my busy schedule, I couldn't return to Australia. If the company reads this review, I would love to see a replacement chain sent to me so that I can try it out again.
This is what I bought my husband for Father's Day because the one he had was old and worn out. I've heard that this one really cuts through large branches as if it were.
There was an issue with the alignment of the saw with the handle, resulting in it not making electrical contact and not operating. In the beginning I used pliers to stretch and bend, but finally it made contact. After assembly it worked fine and I was happy with it, but I will not disassemble the handle from the saw.
First of all, let's get started. It was written by whoever it was. Within the first three pages of pictures, you see a set of images, then you see a list of maintenance and care instructions, then you see a list of specs, and THEN you get actual directions to what you should do. There is no reason for a picture, a set of instructions, followed by another picture and then another set of instructions. It seems like so much flipping back and forth is going on. Taking a look at the pictures, I find them to be very blurry, so it's difficult to see what something looks like.
The instructions for mounting the saw is also not really clear, so it's difficult to figure out what exactly it should be done. This saw is actually pretty good if you have the patience to learn how to use it. This is a little heavier than another corded or gas powered model, but it is still easier than using a gas powered or electric model. My only positive comment is that it is a fun movie. It was immediately returned, so I never had a chance to use it. "Buy nice or buy twice. " is a good rule to follow.
