Questions & Answers

Is there a way to change the pole's length? How long does it have to be?

The saw was delivered in three sections, each measuring approximately 120 inches in length. The 40-inch center section can be removed, resulting in a length of around 80 inches.

Is there a window where you can add oil?

There isn't a single window in the entire building. There is an oil level indicator on the DCPS620M1.

What kind of battery is included with this tool?

The battery that came with mine was a 4 amp 20 volt battery. Any 20 volt DeWalt battery should do the trick.

Only the seller should ask this question - Why is there no mention of the battery size (amps) in this listing? Why is there no information about the battery?

The battery is a DCB204 with a capacity of 4AH.

Selected User Reviews For DEWALT 20V MAX* XR Pole Saw, 15-Foot Reach (DCPS620M1)

There's no way I'm going to get close to 15 feet
4/5

Part of my decision to buy this saw was based on the claim that it could reach 15' with the extension that came with it. With the extension inserted, the actual length was about 8 feet, a little more than half of the claimed length. The saw is well-made and performs admirably, but the length is disappointing.

Dewalt is a fantastic tool, and the seller is even better! First and foremost, I'd like to address the seller CPO; the package arrived opened with the factory tape missing; in no way did this leave their facility in this condition; when I opened the package, I also noticed the battery was missing; therefore, my only assumption is that this occurred somewhere along the line in transit
5/5

br>At first, I initiated a return, but then I contacted Amazon, and CPO responded extremely quickly, I explained the situation, and they promptly resolved it, so fantastic 5 star seller! It sure beats repackaging and hauling this thing back to the post office and waiting for it to arrive. As a result, I'm overjoyed! br>As for the tool, if you're a Dewalt fan like me, what can I say? It's just another great tool to have in your toolbox. I just used it for the first time yesterday, and just like the dewalt small 20volt chainsaw, you'll need bar and chain oil to keep the chain lubricated while cutting, so make sure you add that to your list. I usually buy it by the gallon because I have several chainsaws, but if you're just using this one, a quart will probably last you an entire season depending on how many trees you're trimming. I ended up trimming about 35/40 trees between the ages of ten and twenty. I got 12' up in about 45 minutes without using the third extension polebr>As stated in some dissatisfied reviews, this tool does not measure out to be 15', and you must understand that it is based on the height of a normal human added to it. So, when all three extensions are used, the tool measures just over 9 feet in total, so unless you're extremely short, you'll be able to stand at the advertised height. You'll need to use a ladder once you've reached that height. br>The handle's trigger safety, which must be engaged during operations, takes some getting used to; it's a little tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. I also read some other reviews about the connector between the extension vibrating loose, which happened to me as well, so I had to tighten mine three times. Four times during use isn't a big deal, and given the vibration and maneuvering required while trimming, it's completely understandable. Overall, the tool performed admirably, effortlessly and quickly cutting through limbs and trees. When I was finished, I checked the remaining battery level and discovered that it was only one bar away from being fully charged. br>So, as with nearly all of Dewalt's tools, it was a great buy, with no regrets, and an amazing seller! br>Dewalt and CPO are to be commended!.

Don't Buy / Reconsider
3/5

Title: Dont Buy! br>I strongly advise you to resubmit your application. Consider purchasing this chainsaw because, in my opinion, the product and its associated purchasing policies have several flaws. The chain saw, for starters, is a slacker. To give you an example, the battery is identical to the one I use in my cordless drill! Gosh. I'm trying to get rid of some weeds. More powerful battery for the eater! I couldn't even cut a one-inch limb, let alone anything bigger. Furthermore, the saw's reach (at its shortest) is insufficient for cutting lower limbs. It can only be used by contortionists! Which brings me to number two: you will not be able to return the saw if you use it and find that it does not live up to the company's marketing. You see. You can't use the chain saw without oil, and once you do, you can't take it back! Furthermore, (number%)203, if you open the package and conclude that it is highly unlikely that this chain saw will live up to the ‘fake marketing’ proposed by the company and So, guess who's stuck with a garage sale item that's 'useless' and overpriced? Conserve your energy!.

It's that simple! The first day of use (roughly 20 minutes) went smoothly
3/5

(There are 25 small branches). Second use: the first couple of branches went fine, but after about 5-minutes, the motor cut out (fully charged 5AH battery). 10 seconds of repeatedly pressing the trigger. The chain Oiler uses a lot of oil, and it drips no matter how I store it, so I had to drain the oil out of the reservoir to keep it from leaking. I returned it because it came with a 90-day money-back guarantee, and I'm waiting for a refund from CPO Outlet. I was very disappointed with DeWalt; perhaps I was just unlucky with this piece and received a bad one, but based on my other DeWalt tools, I expect DeWalt to be dependable. It's worth noting that while all of my other DeWalt tools are made in the United States, this one isn't, and it's the first time a DeWalt has failed me.

What a piece of equipment
5/5

I use it to clear rightaways from my deer stand for hunting, as well as to trim limbs on trees that are overhanging my 1/2 mile driveway. br>The cutting speed and power of this saw have completely blown me away. Cutting with a regular pole saw is a thing of the past. Because the drive motor is located on the saw head, it is a little heavy on the business end. The electric is the only thing that passes through the handle. It's not like the gasoline-powered weed eaters and the like, which have a drive cable that runs through them. It's simple to disassemble into three pieces for storage, and all you have to do now is charge your battery for the next time you need it. br>I've cut a lot of limbs, but the battery hasn't died yet, so I'm not sure how long it'll last.

a bar is required I haven't used it yet because I was unaware that it necessitates the use of a bar code scanner
3/5

In order to operate it, you'll need chain oil. It would be great if they informed you. Perhaps those of you who frequently use pole cutters already knew, but I didn't.

I would purchase this product again
4/5

I used it for palm trees and white oak branches with some about 5-foot branches, and it works well so far. It doesn't exactly extend but has an extension rod that you add to it and then take off and put back on, yeah prioritize all lower cuts then go back and do all higher cuts. 6 inches in diameter br>Was mostly straightforward; it's heavier than I anticipated, but it feels solid, and it's certainly preferable to a ladder and chainsaw.

Today was my first time using this product, and it was fantastic
5/5

I cut down a few small trees and trimmed a few limbs. Love it! The saw cuts like a dream and has excellent ergonomics. The balance is excellent. It's incredibly simple to set up and operate. It comes highly recommended!.
