When I dive, I use it.
The show lasted quite a while. It has been in use three times so far, and the battery has not run out.

It has worked very well for me when I've taken it snorkeling and on the lake in Montana. My observations are that it has a slight depth of about 5" when applied to nail-sized pieces. Since it can be used horizontally, you hold it up and it will operate as though it were upside down. If you hold the detector vertical for another five seconds after the initial on sequence, I believe you can override that setting. It took me a minute to figure out how to turn this one off since the instructions don't tell you how to shut it off after continuous use. Over time, I expect this to cause the 9v plug to break. To summarize, I'm pleased with the product for the price range I paid.
The electronics inside it were destroyed by some reviews of the device leaking water. I was a bit unsure about it. Based on all the reviews, I purchased the device and it does not leak at all as long as the back cap is properly attached. After a short time at one of the lakes in the area, I found the items in the picture as well as some others that I didn't get to photograph. Don't think twice about ordering this device! You will not be disappointed with it.
This was used to search for important items in the ocean last week. The software was easy to use, without issues, and performed Throughout the week, I found several pieces of metal and the battery lasted the duration.
This was bought for my 9 year old son to go to It was not very successful but that does not indicate that it is not accurate. Most of the time, we purchased the units for their underwater capacities. There are a lot of fiddly parts in the battery compartment. I didn't have any problems with it once I got it. It may last for some time, but I have no idea how long continuous use will last. I found this device to be very light weight and simple to use, so my son was happy with it as well.
Make sure there is no moisture around the battery compartment by reading other reviews. When tightening the clamping screw, you will need to hold the metal disk in place. For the first hour or so of use in the water, the device performed well After the vibration motor stopped working, it continued to spin. There is no vibration or flashing of the LED, but the LED still flashes as it should. Restarting the device after it has been turned off. It's still not working.
Underwater activity is perfect for vibrating alerts as well. As a result, it can be difficult to judge the accuracy since if it did not alert me to it I wouldn't have found The radar found several inches of silt and rocks that were buried with aluminum cans. The lack of an on/off switch doesn't bode well for its waterproofness, but I understand that absence of a switch makes it more economical. I had no difficulty installing and sealing the battery housing. I don't know if it's an improvement over previous versions, but I personally can't see how it could be a problem.
I had a blast using it in Cozumel because it picks up all metal and you can use it underwater.
It was really cool and I was eager to use it, but when I used it for the first time, It appeared that there was an issue with the seal between the handle and the arm. Even though I tightened the end caps to a super tight fit, water leaking from the hole where the battery wires connect to the electronics into the battery compartment. This resulted in water draining into the battery compartment from the arm and soaking its internals. While I am sorry I couldn't use it on vacation, they are sending me a free replacement or I could have gotten a full refund without any additional charges. The product I received was a defective one, but I'm sure the quality is good.
