What do you mean by "in ground" or "in concrete"? It's the ground! There is a good possibility, but there is not much concrete evidence. You can also get a small section of rebar at a hardware store and bury the rebar at a Once you've verified it for yourself, you can move on.

We all have these things (Garrett pro- Click here to point at Especially the Garrett carrots) - they're everyone's favorite They are popular among a lot of people. Currently, the Whites Bullseye TRX has it beat in both range and depth (and price), making it the most worthy competitor of the Carrot There are several, so I might leave a complete review to them (there are plenty of others), and comment on something I haven't seen discussed very often - some of the practicalities of this book. While there are a few Amazon reviews and YouTube videos about the Garrett Pro-HD, I couldn't find one that explained how it works. You can see some YouTube videos mapping out how sensitive Pointer AT is along the length of its probe (up to and past the 4" mark). Using this "wand," of sensitivity, we can sweep horizontally to survey a dirt pile, vertically to survey the side of a deep hole, or horizontally on the surface to seek out shallow targets. The length of this cable may make it useful, but the sensitivity does not match uniformly There is even a note in the manual that the maximum sensitivity is obtained when the pin is aimed a little above the tip, and from the side. Check out the precision of its pointing based on flat targets (coins, rings, pull tabs, etc. ), as well as the difference in how it reacts to different target orientations. Let's put it to the test and get to know what I am talking about. Here is an example of what I mean You might want to consider laying the pro- Placing the pointer AT on its side and sweeping it across the surface, looking for shallow coins. Generally coins are buried flat, so one can usually see the coin face-on when you pull the pin out. A pointing device. Depending on your sensitivity level, you will find that there is a "dumbbell" of sensitivity, peaking at about There is a 5 inch line and a 3 inch line. Probably the weak signal can be found near the LED area (4" mark) or near the tip of the line. Put it in the air and see how it feels. Imagine now doing a clean sweep of the pro-Union voting booths AT should be pointed at and around a hole where the coin was missed. Here is what I think This will give the pointer a angle of about 20o and the coin will be oriented like this This is a "linear" with the shaft (facing down, and pointing downward). As you can see, the sensitivity pattern is reversible in this case. A sensitivity peak is found near the middle of the spectrum (near 2") and drops at the ends (near 0", 4"). You may not find the target down by the tip of the shaft of the hole, but two inches higher up along its shaft, which is where it is most sensitive if it is that way oriented. Aim for the air and see how it works. There is a coin edge on a coin that is parallel to the side of the coin When a point is parallel to the shaft and on to the shaft, its edges are very weakly sensed, but have the "dumbbell" sensitivity pattern observed Trying out the pin in the air with this little gadget Use of a pin-pointer and commonly found items will prevent issues in the field with targets that seem to move as you orient the pin-pointer It is different to point the pointer. It is well known that we have issues detecting objects buried on edges such as nails, long screws, bobby pins, and pieces of wire, along with "moving targets" such as nails, screws, and bobby pins. Insert pin here Despite being smaller, pointers can suffer from the same problems as well. In a worst case scenario, this can considerably delay recovery or result in digging an unnecessary large hole. Orienting the pin in a new direction will lead to A pointer's sensitivity pattern and the resulting dangers can be avoided if we know its pattern. ***Brands of pins included ***Brands of pins includes There are different types of pointers, each with its own sensitivity patterns and potential advantages or disadvantages We are off.
This was something I was looking forward to. It was primarily for the silent mode that I bought it. I agree that it does work but it was a pain to set it up. All your controls are at your fingertips with one button! That is a headache for sure! As soon as I set the device up the way I like it, I would use it, then go to turn it off and for some reason, it would think I'm programming it and change Garrett, the space is large enough to fit at least two designers! The first is to turn on and the second to program! It's the most annoying thing in the world! To the point that I am considering returning it. This is not worth it for me, unless you are in the river or something. I have a cheaper knock off that I might like better, and it's a quarter of the price. It is best to buy two cheap ones so that if one gets wet, the other can be used. Buy a second one just in case it gets wet, and you'll still save So far, my cheap one lasted me for two seasons and it still works well. I don't like that it doesn't have a vibrate-only mode, and every once in a while if I hit the tip too hard, it will give a quick false reading (which is not a deal breaker for me).
In any case, let me make it clear that I am a fan of Garrett pinpointers in general. As a result of losing my black one in the field, I had to purchase this product. My primary motivation for buying this particular pinpointer was that. Due to the bright orange color and the built-in 'chirp' feature, which will start after a few minutes of inactivity or motion, I decided on this particular model. It's true that I have not used that specific feature yet, but my last pinpointer was black and didn't have a "hey, you've lost me, here I am come " message. There is no "chirp" feature in the "Get Me" menu. By partnering up with Garrett, the pinpointer is a fine piece of equipment created by an even finer company that actually LISTENS to consumers. The product you see here is a testament to that! would recommend Garrett in general, and this particular product in particular, as my highest rating out of any product I have ever reviewed. I would give this a perfect 7 out of 10.
It is watertight, has adjustable sensitivity, is easy to see and find, has a lanyard ring, feels less spongy when on or off, and can be disabled.
I haven't been able to test it underwater yet but I do plan to do so in the future. I would really like to know about this, so I am interested in it We just came off of the lakes in MN after the ice broke. I did, however, thoroughly rinse it under the sink when it got muddy after a There is no need to worry about the speaker, lights, or on/off switches. I find it to be very sturdy and reliable This is how it is built It looks like the black Pro Pointer from the beginning. I find it has a slightly better depth range than my old Pro Pointer on the medium level of sensitivity (default). Assuming high sensitivity is even better, I expect even greater results. A Pro Pointer is one of the easiest tools to use when metal detecting, and if you've never used one, you're doing yourself tremendous disservice. These tools cut the time needed to find the target in half or Having wasted that much time rechecking the hole or plug with the detector, as well as all the time digging to find that item, I wonder what else I could have accomplished. The tool I use to locate my detector is as valuable as the device I am so glad that I waited so long to have it available! It is absolutely worth the long wait!.
The Garrett Pro-450 is now mine The box is opened when the item is received and it's scratched up where it's been used, it has dirt in the battery holders, the light on it does not work, and the item is not in the original packaging. Buy it if you aren't planning to use it. The used product is being purchased for $127.
The product worked very well. It took considerable time for sound to fade, and the accuracy of detection of items began to decrease.
have a Black version from a few years ago that is still in good shape. There are more modes on the carrot but in my opinion, it's the best. Plus, it comes with a two year warranty. I broke my black pinpointer and told them it was my fault and I was glad to pay for it but they said send it back and it was repaired. It is a pleasure to deal with Garrett's customer service.
