Questions & Answers

Is it possible for me to get a sample of your product?

Yes, and it'll only set you back $229.

Is it possible to detect objects under water with this?

It is possible to submerge the coil in water. Yes

Is this suitable for a ten-year-old? Is there a problem with your height?

40 inches, I believe, is the minimum height. A 20-degree angle can be measured between his elbow and the ground. This ought to be beneficial.

Is it possible to use my regular earbuds?

Technically, it can be done. They'd need to be sufficiently long. You'll also need a 1/4" to 1/8th jack adapter. In addition, earbuds do not provide the same level of noise cancellation as full-sized headphones.

This is a fantastic place to start if you're interested in taking up a new hobby
5/5

It was our second time using a metal detector in our family. It's the first time we've used it for something other than nail detection. Our first outing, I must say, was quite an adventure. My wife, who is a big fan of the Oak Island television show, was probably just as interested as I was. Our first excursion took us to a nearby park that was once a farm until about 15 years ago. I wasn't expecting to find much there, but given how busy it is, I was hoping to find some coins. To be honest, all I wanted was a quarter to justify my purchase and prove that this device works. What I discovered was that metal detecting takes a lot more effort than I anticipated. The entire process was a little confusing for me because I was new to metal detecting. The majority of our hits were minor blips that required a lot of effort to locate. We started in the gravel parking lot, which was giving me all kinds of strange hits, so I decided that gravel might not be good for the detector, so we moved on to the first gazebo area, where I immediately got a solid 3 or 4 hit on the display and began digging. It was a pop tab, to be sure. Over the next hour, we discovered a large amount of foil, two quarters, a nickel, and three penny coins, as well as aluminum cans, old metal brackets, a nail, and other junk. We found something with every hit, which made me extremely happy. What I learned from the experience is that it takes a lot more effort than I anticipated, which was fine because I was looking for some exercise; however, after a day of use, I feel I have a good grasp on the F22 and am confident in its use. Getting a pin pointer is something I can't stress enough. I don't own one, but I can see how valuable they are after just one use. Finding the penny or quarter in the 6 inch deep hole we had just dug could take a long time. The F22, in my opinion, works well and performs admirably. It's simple to use; the pin pointer function works well, but it's usually just as easy to find the object without it. The menus and settings are simple to use, and the owner's manual is well-written. For my purposes, I believe it performed admirably and merited a 5-star rating, but please keep in mind that I have no prior experience with detectors in this price range. As a result, I'm unable to comment on whether it's for the better or for the worse.

This is a fantastic deal
5/5

My F22 arrived this weekend, and I immediately took it out and put it to the test. This is a lovely unit that is lightweight, great for beginners, and simple to use and maintain. The presets make it simple to figure out what was detected, and the PinPoint (PP) feature provides fairly accurate depth perception. It's water-resistant, so don't be concerned if you get caught in a downpour. The squad will continue to fight. I went home after each hunt and lightly hosed it down, and it's now ready for the next adventure. In addition, the coil is water-resistant - I went down to the creek and used it to scan along the creek bed, underwater, and so on, and it worked perfectly. I had my doubts about the battery life - The F22 is powered by two AA batteries. After two and a half days of hunting, these are still in great shape. They're supposed to last about 20 hours, according to the manufacturer, and so far, I believe that's true. br>br>In my opinion, the coil is crucial, and the F22 has a nice, lightweight, narrow coil that improves accuracy, particularly in certain modes when discriminating between metals. While some detectorists prefer a large coil because it covers more ground, I prefer a narrow coil because it is more accurate and less tiring after a long day of detecting. However, replacement and accessory coils, including a smaller 7" round coil and a larger 11" coil, are available for purchase. Coil covers are available from Fisher, despite the fact that the unit does not come with one. br>br>The arm rest is the one thing I would change about this detector if I could. It's only a little flexible. This is, however, a minor flaw, and the machine is still very easy to use. It's a reliable detector that's also simple to put together. Fisher is a subsidiary of First Texas, which is one of the largest metal detecting equipment manufacturers in the United States. br>br>If you're new to photography and want to get the most bang for your buck, the Fisher F22 is a great choice.

Finds Coins With A Proven Track Record! So, before I bought this detector, I did a lot of research
5/5

I spent hours online reading everything I could find about entry-level detectors before concluding that the F22 was the way to go. I honestly couldn't be more pleased. I started detecting as a kid with a cheap unit I got for Christmas one year and decided to pick it up again during quarantine because my property was built around 1880 and I figured there had to be some old stuff out there. br>br>It takes some time to get used to the machine; at first, I was digging everything and ending the day with a pocket full of square nails. But after a month of practice, I've figured out which targets are worthwhile and which should be avoided. So far, I've discovered a silver quarter from 1953, a sterling silver ring, and my very first Indian Head Penny from 1891. The best part is that my children enjoy "treasure hunting. " So, go ahead and purchase it. Now. Do it. What do you have to lose?.
