Do you have a hollow handle or a solid one?

A hollow hollow

The paddle measures how big is it?

There is a hanging hook at the end of the paddle, which adds an inch or so to the overall length. There are four blades that make up the stirring blade Three-quarters of an inch wide and nine-tenths of an inch tall The length is 1/2 inch. About an inch is the length of the handle 1 1/4" in diameter, and the paddle stirs even in thick stew well. It is comfortable to hold and fits in the hand comfortably.

Does the hot water transfer heat from the handle to the boiling water since it is made of metal?

There hasn't been an issue so far. Despite its hollow design, the handle is able to dissipate It is true that some heat passes through The paddle works well in pots as well as paella pans over an open fire.

Thank you for your kind reply. I bought this paddle and I love it, but I have a problem with it. During the welding process, the weld around the handle cracked, allowing liquid to leak into the ?

It would be best to contact Bayou Classic to see if they can Perhaps you can find a welder who will be able to spot weld it.

Buying it for beer brewing is not a good idea
3/5

After the first batch, the handle cracked in my beer brewing set. In the handle is sugar water that contains all types of bacteria, so I can use it if I want all kinds of bacteria in the It would have been impossible to clean the inside of the handle because the cracks were too small. The Amazon staff was excellent and was able to send us a replacement for The paddle on that one was cracked as well. For brewing purposes, do not purchase this product.

I needed a large paddle for this game, and this fits the bill perfectly
5/5

A homemade eight-gallon brewer is what I use for brewing my own beer With my gallon electric brewer (RoboBrew V3), I had sharp edges on my original stir spoon that would irritate my hands after a while. I then tried a wooden paddle, but the head was too thick and didn't break up grain balls well. Hence, I went in search of a paddle with a flat head and a rounded handle that felt comfortable in my hand. This Bayou Classic is perfect. It's long enough for me not to have to bend over or worry about getting my hands wet while stirring the grains into the wort. The handle is broad enough to do the job effectively and is flat so I can break up dough balls easily. In addition to the smooth rounded handle, I am able to navigate it comfortably for long periods of time. I suffer from arthritis in my hands and this reduces the discomfort that would be caused with a paddle that was thinner in.

Stirred tomatoes for sauce making are great with this product
5/5

A pot of tomatoes for the making of sauce was stirred well with this paddle. As it is lightweight and a flat bottomed paddle, it scrapes along the bottom of the pot to keep it from sticking, and as the blade has holes, it helps mix the juice and keep it.

The easiest of the big ones
5/5

There are several advantages to this model, such as being large, sturdy, and My home brewing used to be a lot easier with this. It stays cool during the boil because it has a long handle. It would be highly recommended.

It's a pity to see a nice stainless steel become unsanitary after a bad welding job
3/5

Although this paddle could have been perfect, the welds were poor, which caused any liquid you used it in to get inside the handle, and do not come out, and it is impossible to clean It is therefore very unsanitary for any food-related use, which is what it was designed for, so of course it would be unsanitary. The handle of the broom was cut off and the top of the handle was drilled. I drilled holes in the handle and sanded off the sharp edges so it can be sanitized. In my opinion, I should not have to do that if I am buying a manufactured product. It would have been better for me if I had made it myself It's more affordable.

The quality of what you pay for is what you get
3/5

I received the item quickly, but I noticed some cracks and incomplete welds after looking at the item. A portion of the opening is at the top and a portion is at the bottom, so fluid will enter the You cannot flush out the inside of the stirring device so whatever you stir up will be trapped inside and contaminate whatever next time you use it.

What quality issues do you have? It wasn't until I ordered the item that I paid attention to the reviews
4/5

The complaints about bad welds caught my attention and I was prepared to return the item if the same thing happened to me. My knowledge as an experienced welder states that they must now use a robotic welder to perform the job, as the welds on both sides are tiny and evenly spaced out. It is unlikely that I will have any problems with this purchase, and if I do, Review by my husband (originally written by me).

I was disappointed in the quality of the welding
3/5

After purchasing one, returning it to be replaced, and returning the replacement, I did the exact same thing. One of them had a hole in it (possibly a teo), and the other had cracks at the end of the weld. Over grinding the weld during clesnup may have contributed to the cracks. The design is nice, but the hollow handle's holes will always be a concern if you want to keep it clean. There are pictures on my phone, but the Amazon app does not work either. According to other reviews of these welds, if they make the fix it would be as simple as improving factory quality control/quality assurance. Until the very end, the weld looks good.
