After the first batch, the handle cracked in my beer brewing set. A homemade eight-gallon brewer is what I use for brewing my own beer With my gallon electric brewer (RoboBrew V3), I had sharp edges on my original stir spoon that would irritate my hands after a while. I then tried a wooden paddle, but the head was too thick and didn't break up grain balls well. It's long enough for me not to have to bend over or worry about getting my hands wet while stirring the grains into the wort. The handle is broad enough to do the job effectively and is flat so I can break up dough balls easily. In addition to the smooth rounded handle, I am able to navigate it comfortably for long periods of time. I suffer from arthritis in my hands and this reduces the discomfort that would be caused with a paddle that was thinner in.

One of them had a hole in it (possibly a teo), and the other had cracks at the end of the weld. Over grinding the weld during clesnup may have contributed to the cracks. The design is nice, but the hollow handle's holes will always be a concern if you want to keep it clean. There are pictures on my phone, but the Amazon app does not work either. According to other reviews of these welds, if they make the fix it would be as simple as improving factory quality control/quality assurance. Until the very end, the weld looks good.
