This stone is ideal for the oven in our camper. It's big enough to completely cover the burner below it, but small enough to leave most of the air holes open. Only a few along the back wall were left unprotected. br>br>By baking a dozen muffins in a muffin tin, we put it to the test. As you can see in the photos, the rack was near the top, and we rotated the tin once, half-turning it. halfway through the process of preparing food The center muffins, on the other hand, were always in the oven's center. Every single one of them turned out the same way. All of the bottoms were the same color, a golden brown. br>br>This stone is much thicker and heavier than the one we use at home for cooking. If you plan to use your RV's oven, this is a must-have.
The majority of Travel Trailer owners are aware that the ovens are difficult to operate. This was purchased to help with heat distribution and to enable us to use our RV oven. This pizza stone appeared to be the answer. It's the ideal size, thick enough to help with heat distribution, and it travels well in our RV. We keep ours in the box it came in, which has done a fantastic job of protecting it. If you're having trouble using your camper's oven, try this; I believe it will allow you to use it without destroying your food.
I bought it to use in my RV oven to help control the heat distribution, and it works perfectly! There won't be any more scorching in the pan's middle. There will be no more burned Bisquits. Love it.
Things aren't burning as hot as they once were. Anyone who has tried to cook in a hotorhome oven knows how difficult it is to avoid parts of the food being burned and the rest being undercooked. This goes a long way toward balancing the temperature. Although you must keep an eye on the heat, I was able to cook a frozen pizza without it turning to charcoal on the bottom.
In my RV oven, it was used to aid in the distribution of heat.
This is exactly what I needed for our camper. It was a huge success.
In an RV oven, biscuits do not burn.
I already own a fantastic pizza stone, but I wanted one that would fit on a counter. top oven. I've tried it in both ovens, and it simply does not work as well as my other stone (even when it was brand new). It doesn't bake the pizza as well as a stone would - The bottom of the pizza was not crispy in the least. I attempted it several times before giving up.
