On two separate occasions, I ordered from the same place without realizing it. Both times, I had to return the item AND pay for return shipping! It cost almost as much to return the stone as it did to send it back! Put these people out of your mind!!
After the start-up flames have died down, I always put on my stone. It adjusts to the temperature in this way. Improve your performance.

For our chargriller, this is an excellent product. Especially if you're cooking slowly and want to get some smoke and indirect heat. I would strongly suggest it. It is, unfortunately, made of ceramic. Ours shattered in half when it tipped over. Therefore, exercise caution. There will be a replacement soon. The price is a little high, so I only gave it four stars.
This stone is absolutely stunning! I tried to use my acorn as a smoker without a defuser and everything burned. I got a metal one, which helped a little, but it wasn't enough. I've been smoking once a week since I got this. It helps to maintain a consistent temperature by retaining heat.
This stone improves the efficiency of the Akorn's heat retention and protects your cooking surface from direct heat. This is high-quality ceramic, which enhanced the pleasure of cooking on the acorn. I highly recommend this product as a great addition to a Char-Broil grill that is already fantastic. Griller. It's been used to smoke a variety of foods, and it makes the grill surface temperature more stable and less reactive to minor ventilation errors when adjusting the smoke temperature. The delivery was quick.
I received the correct item, which was in perfect condition when it arrived. I've smoked with it four times now. It's easy to clean because all you have to do is scrape it clean with a plastic scraper. When you're ready to use it again, flip it over so the fire can clean the side that was last used.
If I forgot that the first time I ordered, a wrong product was delivered, and I had to go through the ordeal of repacking, shipping back, and getting this one right, and I went back to read other people's reviews to see that this was a systemic problem, which was shipping the wrong item out - This is a fantastic product: well-made, does exactly what it says on the tin, and then some in your junior egg. In your oven, it can also be used as a pizza stone. I'd do it again if Amazon got it right and shipped exactly what I ordered.
My old grill had rusted, so I ordered a new one. When she told me I needed to "season" the grate to keep it from rusting, I joked that men don't read directions on the phone. br>br>Never mentioned I needed the SEPARATELY sold "inner" grate. (7. 99)br>As a result, the outer grate cost $32 and the inner grate cost $19. They were complete jerks for failing to see through this obvious money grab. br>br>I'll never buy anything from them again.
You're missing out if you don't have a convection plate for your kamado grill. This piece, however, was only half the price of the grill for which it was designed. It performs as expected. It's an absolute must-have.
If it becomes blackened or burned, it must be discarded. Increase the heat in the grill and it will appear to be brand new. For deflecting direct heat, this is an excellent choice. Everything works as it should. I can't speak to the durability (yet) because I've only used it a few times.
