The first time I used it, it blew up in flames. Hazardous! Heavy!.
To be honest, this isn't at all what I had anticipated. I've never had or used a pizza stone before, so I'm not sure how they're supposed to perform other than in places where they're used. So, if you like your pizza crisp and cardboard on the bottom, this is the pizza for you. That may sound harsh, but no matter how I cook the pizza, it always turns out cardboard-like with a burnt bottom. I've experimented with different methods and temperatures. Because the bottom was so hard, I left the top unfinished, which is not how I like my pizza. The instructions also specify how to clean it: no soap or water, just heat and a good scrape are required. It's a mess. Whatever it is, I can deal with it, but I can't deal with overcooked, wasted pizza every time. br>br>However, the stone itself appears to heat up evenly and thoroughly. Let's take a look at the pizza cutter. br>br>Let's take a look at the pizza cutter. It's not going to help. I swear it's not sharp enough to slice a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Maybe it's because all of my pizzas are as hard as cardboard, but I tried it again on a pizza without the stone. Useless. I mean, it's free, so how can I complain?.
Pampered Chef has given me about four stones. I simply required an additional pizza stone. I've used it five times and each time it sticks to the stone and ruins my pizza. It's now something I use to serve hot food on.
In my pellet smoker, I use this stone to help evenly cook the crust, especially in the center. Prior to having the stone, the center of the cake would occasionally be undercooked. All of that was fixed by this stone, which improved the crust by a factor of ten.
As a Christmas present for our various family households, we combined a few of our favorite pizza recipes with a couple of pizza shells, some sauce, and other ingredients. So, we got the recipes nicely bound, and of course, a red check tablecloth had to be included. a stone for making pizza There are thousands of them to see. BUT! I was able to accomplish this because of the cutting blade. You guys have a lot of attention to detail! Is it better to bake or grill your food? Perfect!! Thank you for being such an important part of what turned out to be a huge hit as a Great Christmas Gift for several households.
I recently purchased a new smart oven and needed a small stone (12 inch) for it, and this one fits the bill perfectly; I also have two larger stones that I use frequently. The cutter is essentially a piece of metal that was ground to give it an edge (but not a cutting edge). If you know how to sharpen knives, you can do what I did and use a couple of good sharpening stones to give it a knife edge. I didn't buy it for the cutter, but it's a nice little stone. And, as I previously stated, if you know how to sharpen things, you can repair the cutter yourself; otherwise, find a friend who does.
I'm excited to put it to use. High-quality pizza stone with a sleeve for the cutter! Pizzas that are 12 inches in diameter can be made on a small pizza stone.
This was primarily purchased for use in my toaster oven. It takes longer to heat up than the stone I use in my regular oven, but once it does, it bakes a perfect pizza crust, and I'm excited to use it on my grill. The rocker slicer came in handy.
