Can you smell a pungent smell coming from the stone?

There have been reports that the stone smells at first, but it only does so It could be said that this is a "break-in". My first step was to remove any dust by wiping it off, then I put mine in a cold oven and set the temperature After leaving it to bake for over an hour, I turned off the oven and let it cool until the next morning. During the first heating, there was some smell, but this has since gone away. I made some very good ciabatta bread as you can see by the picture This pizza has a perfectly cooked crust and chewy inside. Unless I bake or roast something too large, I will just keep it in the oven for the time being. After trying out the stone, I am sold. At first I was skeptical, but I am now a fan. The purchase was fantastic.

There is more weight to this pizza stone than to the one it is As of now, I have only used it once to make a pizza, but the crust turned out great! While I forgot to put cornmeal on the stone (only on the peel), the pizza still didn't stick to it Wishing to continue pizza nights for a long time to come!.

The fact that I use it almost every day is making day old pizza taste so much better when it is warmed up on this. A round one that is not as thick as this one is also available. It is sturdy and less likely to crack (I have it for about 2 months and I have seen no signs of stress, but who knows how long it will hold up). The only trouble I have with it may or may not be just me, but it doesn't get as hot as any On some occasions, bread dough and pizza dough have not cooked as well on the bottom as they should. I don't see it every single time, but enough times to get the impression that there's a problem. I do run my oven at 475 and let it sit for at least 45 minutes before using, ensuring I use it properly (it is still very hot mind you, but I would expect it to be hotter for something as thick as that). Although, I would rather have something that won't crack in a month than something that will. However, it is a good product overall.
