Questions & Answers

What are the compatibility options for Akorn 22" characters? Are you grilling?

Yes, I know!

If dojoe is compatible with this model, then I have a vision grills professional grill, model c series. Can you tell me which of these dojoes will work for you? Dojoe18 or 24?

I am your C There is no way to fit a 24" top grate in the string since it has a diameter of 18 1/8 inches. It is theoretically possible for the 18" to fit the ceramic grill, but I have no idea if Kamado accessories are interchangeable.

This accessory will work on the 18" grill from Big Green Egg?

In order to use this product with a Big Green Egg grill, special installation requirements must be followed. Regardless of whether it may fit some older models, this was specifically designed to work with the Kamado Joe Classic 18" grill (Classic 1, 2 or 3) only.

The function is not working
3/5

The Big Green Egg with updated bands and hinges is not compatible with this product. As the owner of a large BGE, I have enjoyed and used my Joetisserie extensively. At this point, KJ probably owes me a commission on all of the Joetisseries I have sold to my friends and family with DöJoe appealed to me so I ordered it. However, when I found out it would not work with the updated BGE bands/hinge, I was disappointed. It seems to me that the geometry of the way the lid closes just doesn't work with the newly updated hinge. In the case of the DöJoe, there is a gap of 2" between the front edge and the lip of the lid, and therefore no seal can be made there. The KJ website clearly states on the KJ website that it will work with all BGE's, so I am certain this product will be successful with a KJ or old style BGE, but it is problematic with the updated style, even though it works with all BGE's.

Pizza is made so much easier with this tool
5/5

It's awesome that this exists. The grill is quick and easy to use once hot, since you can shovel pizzas in and out without opening it. To reduce the risk of burning, insert an air cushion between your heat deflectors and the pizza stone. The downside of weight is that it is heavier After you load up the Big Joe version of this thing with the diffusers and your pizza stone, it is quite heavy. This is too heavy for me to lift. After you burn out the coal, allow the DoJoe to cool off before moving it. In any case, that is fine with me, since I normally have pizza cooks clean my grill. The problem is, if you think you are going to remove this thing and shut the grill down in order to save charcoal, forget it.

This is an awesome accessory for Joe
5/5

It's amazing how good the DoeJoe is. You can install and remove it easily. A nice way to cook pizza quickly and give it that authentic pizza oven flavor. One recommendation, if you're making your own pizza from scratch, cook the crust a little before adding the toppings. When we tried to top the crust while it was still doughy, it went horribly wrong. It took some time to scrape everything off the pizza stone since the Kamado had to be opened. When the crust was ready, we popped it in the DoughJoe, topped it, and baked it for 5 minutes before putting it in. I was much happier with this solution and all of the pizzas were great.

Adding this to your Kamado Joe Big Joe is a great idea! Having cooked a couple things lately, a quick update
4/5

A star is taken off at the start because the paint has already bubbled and flaked in a couple places. It's a bit disappointing, but this seems to be a problem with a lot of Kanade Joe Big Joe's accessory has been a total hit with me. originally intended to build a standalone pizza oven in my backyard, but I stumbled upon this through a random I decided to use it for the first time. The installation was as straightforward as it could Then just put the pizza stone on top of the deflectors and push them in the bottom slots. In order to use it, simply place it on top and close the lid and top vent once your grill reaches 450 degrees. My score was 600 - in no time at all It has reached 650F and is ready to be cooked. Put the pizza in a 5-inch pan and flip it over You now have a perfect pie after 7 minutes! I'm not sure why the temperature limit is 700F, since the unit can handle 900F+, but the heat can still be controlled easily, and the pizza comes out absolutely delicious. I recommend it to anyone who owns a Kamado Joe.

Your Kamado will become a great pizza oven once it is converted
5/5

The top of this grill seals tightly against the Dojoe grill, so it works pretty well on Kamado Joe grills. All pizza ovens allow heat to escape through the opening, so you have no option but to use the DoJoe. There is a complete set of instructions included with your purchase, explaining how to adjust the vents on your Kamado Joe to keep the temperature from dropping during the cooking process. There is a bit more work in cooking a pizza with DoJoe than with just turning on an oven. Nonetheless, it should get easier with each use. main reason to buy the DoJoe is that you achieve a superior crust when you use this accessory, as well as the unique flavor of a wood-fired pizza You can't go wrong with pizza that's been fired up. A pizza peel that slides in and out will also be needed (sprinkle some corn meal on it if you detect that your dough sticks). In comparison, my peel is 14" wide and fits into the opening of the dojo with ease (the opening on the dojo is 14" wide). The fifth one).

The program works well
4/5

Just one point to make. That works well for me. The installation was hard, and it would have been nice to have an extra set of diffuser plates since they are fragile and hard to remove. After following some online instructions I was able to get it to maintain a constant temperature. I highly recommend using less charcoal than you would think, as well as buying a pasted thermometer, as the cooking surface was usually about 100 degrees hotter than the reading on the top of the grill. I was able to buy cast iron dishes that were low, so we made great pizzas, breads, and even a casserole in one once I had that sorted out. Due to the fact that it cannot be closed, I have deducted one star. If you have extra charcoal left over, it basically goes to waste.

I finally upgraded to a more expensive pizza Making games is fun! Having the perfect pizza crust has been on my mind for a while
5/5

In the past, I have not been able to make the perfect homemade pizza due to the lack of an By introducing the Dojoe, we have solved this problem. Two days after receiving this device on my doorstep, I have already made two pizzas and am pleased with the results! There is just the right amount of charring around the edges and a hint of smoky flavor to make the bread crisp on the bottom and chewy on top. The wood is just like that- We love pizza joints that have fire!.

I agree with you! It is hard to find anything better to cook with your Kamado, more specifically, to make pizza
5/5

The biggest problem for me when cooking pizza on the big Joe before I got a DoJoe was that the temperature changed every time I opened the lid, which really affected the cooking time and the perfect crust. After 2 1/2 hours at 450 F, I was able to hold a steady temperature for 4 hours The pizza party I attended took about 5 1/2 minutes each, each pizza had the perfect crust, and about 20 pizzas were made. I just love it. Each penny is worth it.
