There are watts running on it. There are various kinds of connectors for this type of generator output the most common is usually a 30 A 240 volt connection. Your generator's peak or starting wattage is only a measure of its capacity to meet short periods of greater demand, like the starting of a motor.
Over the 5+ years I have had it, I have not noticed much fading, but the fact that it works when I need to plug in the generator is all that really matters to me.
There is no way you can do that. It is possible to compromise the warranty of this unit by modifying or updating it.

I like it very much! They are waterproof and plug into the female plugs very quickly and easily. As far as the sun is concerned, I'm not sure how the box will work. The results will come with time.
