Using the long staple about every 4 ft and the shorter ones in between, I inserted the staples every 4 ft. every 2 feet a staple should be used. The region of southeast Missouri did not present any problems to me.
A 4' foot roll of toilet paper was sent to you. You can reach out to me or send it back to me.
The answer is yes. There is nothing like it on the market. I ordered 200ft at 60" wide and used 100ft on a shrub bed and put 3/4 to a foot of mulch on it. There is a layer of gravel of 1" You did a great job. The weeds didn't appear more than three or four times in six months. The only thing I have done to it in the last six months is spray it with weed killer.
Yellow stripes run from left to right, alternating with blue stripes Keeping an eye on the ball is wise.

It has never been my practice to always use landscaping fabric, as I feel most, if not all, companies are convinced their fabric is best at blocking out weeds, but it seldom does the job as well as it is advertised. I have been disappointed too many times in the past, but my husband did more research on the various professional grade landscaping fabrics. His thought was to finally find a fabric that would prevent weeds from growing in our newly created playground area for our little girls that we had made out of Dewitt P3 landscaping fabric. Installation of the fabric began on 6 June 2019. We received it on 29 May I expect that to be done by 8 Almost a week after that. The fabric and even several inches of mulch have been overtaken by nutsedge weeds in several places. Keeping in mind that the soon to be playground area was prepared properly by removing all the grass and weeds, and by putting down a special weed killer that will prevent future growth before the fabric was applied. Considering how expensive the fabric was and how well it was reviewed, I was hoping it would hold up to the challenging task of keeping the weeds out for quite some time. The period should be at least a week long. The product is completely unacceptable to me and I will not be purchasing it in the future.
As part of our landscaping project, our contractor put down some weed barrier in the flower beds, and that's what I did in the kids' play area as well. The stuff I found on Amazon sounded interesting. I decided to take a look at it. Compared to the material they used before, this is much more durable. There is no doubt the product they used was off the shelf stock from Lowes or Home Depot. A review of the Dewitt Five In comparison to my previous posts, the ounce is thicker and heavier. The wind caught a few of the areas that I hadn't fully nailed to the ground while I was installing it. The jacket does not have any rips, tears or damage. My error was to let it form a sail and fly away from me, so I just nailed it back in place. There are 2 or 3 feet of space between our contractor and the It would have taken me 20 passes to fill in such a large area, and I was not looking forward to that. With 6 feet, there was no problem and it was not too large either. The material was heavy enough that you could simply nail down the edge and then just roll it out flat Although it drains water, it does not do it very quickly, but the thickness would prevent anything from draining quickly. The ground is not absorbing water at a faster rate than it is draining.
It took 3 weeks for weeds to appear Within a week. There is no way I can We read the great reviews and prepared the area (only dirt showing before the fabric is laid). We overlapped the fabric by eight inches where cuts were made, and we added at least two I love the look, but then after 3 days I don't like it I see weeds coming out from under the rocks every now and then, so I just figured it was the season A hole was drilled through the fabric but it went through the rocks. Then what? (And not in the spots where staples were used - or plants were present)? What do I have to do to cover this fabric with fabric at Sam's Club? I must move all rocks and buy fabric at the store? Time and money are wasted on such a waste. Astonished at how upset I am.
You should check out this stuff! An herb garden of 30 x 30 feet was built for me. Then I laid down the beds, built the walkways, and filled them in with rocks. That's a beautiful design. After the first full summer, there are very few weeds.
Compared to the stuff you can get at big box stores, this stuff is MUCH BETTER. Comparing apples to oranges is pointless. On the surface there is a real weave of plastic strips, and on the underside there is fluffy material. Despite the overcrowded big box stores, there is literally plant growth under the stuff. This stuff usually prevents most things from getting through. All year long, I leave the lights off. There are very few things that can penetrate this stuff other than the wild onions. Due to the size of my gardens, I simply don't want to spend a lot of time weeding aisles so I spread this stuff in them. To cover it with bark shredded by hand, I used to do so, but it's becoming inconvenient and expensive to do that, plus I have to haul and spread every bag or wheelbarrow of bark mulch, so I am just leaving it uncovered. I know that the sun will degrade it after a number of years, even though it is good against UV rays. You can truly get the best stuff on the market.
Time is required for this product to be determined to be effective. During the month of October, I installed it as weed barrier on a playground. By spraying the weeds, tilling the soil, and grading with a rake, I removed the grass. My next step was to lay the There was a lot of thickness and the material seemed quite I was able to unroll it and staple it to the ground without much difficulty. By the way, I recommend using stainless steel staples instead of plastic ones. Using a sharp utility knife, I cut the material by overlapping it by 12" - that was all I needed. Lines are actually on the material to assist in that process and in staple-stapling. I will be reporting back on its effectiveness as time goes on. *UPDATE A lot of rain and time for weeds to spring up helped us make it. There has yet to be a breakthrough. I will report back in the.
By the time I used Home Depot landscaping fabric and managed to pull it by hand, I had enough. This thicker stuff is what I spent a lot of money on, and I am so happy When I sprayed water on it with the hose prior to laying it down, the water did This fabric has a slower rate of contraction than other landscaping fabrics but it doesn't pool like others. The stakes went through it fairly easily with a rubber mallet after it was cut and shaped with a box cutter or scissors. My grass has been down for about 3 months now and no weeds have come up. I am very pleased with its performance. Rather than spend more time and frustration, I am more than happy to pay more. As well as purchasing the smaller size, I will purchase the larger size for the bigger headache area.
DeWitt P5 weed cloth probably saves money over its lifetime. My leftover fabric is being used as a weed barrier for the staging area for potted plants and it is My price range allows me to purchase this product as the best homeowner product available. The product I use probably won't last 25 years as I am using it now, but I believe it just might last There are several of my fellow gardeners using less expensive weed barriers and they find that they need to use weed killing chemicals within a matter of months. There is no way I am going to do Considering that I got it for a bargain price, I will end up saving money if it lasts that long.
