Questions & Answers

This is a nice idea for parking a large, heavy RV. How does it work when put over bare dirt, then covered with gravel? How soon after putting down large gravel would it be possible to put down smaller gravel?

Then, I installed 4 inches of #57 stone on top and used it to park my boat. It worked really well. Compact the dirt, ensure there is drainage, and check to make sure it doesn't have

This is the first time I've dug up my driveway because it's mostly grass right Could I use this product under the limestone gravel I plan to use under my driveway?

In fact, yes. Under a one car garage/shed with stone on top, this will be used. The product is excellent.

Would this geotextile work for mulch beds in the same way that other geotextiles do?

The idea is likely to work, but it is meant to solve rural road problems. The road was repaired with rock and it was used on a rural road that had been damaged. Water can pass through it, but it is quite thick as well. The cost of mulch beds seems high to me.

If I cover a gravel or marble rock yard with turf and use it as a buffer, what is the thickness of the turf so I can walk on it?

Over the fabric, you will want to have at least six inches of gravel. Soil under driveways is supposed to be healed using this product.

The Great Dane can run on this bed with a weight of 160 pounds
5/5

RECENT UPDATES The book has been in our possession for more than a year now. The COVID took up all our time and we never put mulch down. The stuff in this video is amazing! Even though our swingset was blown apart in a recent storm, it still looks the way it did when we first bought Even when the fence had to be lifted to get to some leaking irrigation pipes, it was simply laid down again with new landscaping nails without ripping or cracking. Our children were installing a swingset in our backyard and we had to level out part of our backyard to make room for it. It was the middle of December, and we needed something that was easy to put down and would hold up to the claws of our Great Dane when he gets running full steam until the springtime when we can get some mulch or other substrate to top it off. I'm happy to say that this was a breeze to lay out (much easier than laying strips of landscaping fabric), and a month later it's still holding strong despite kids and dogs running all over it, and my Dane's claws are huge. The talons are an inch long and thick. Over the course of one day, he's torn apart a lot of other tarps. Also I can say that these stones are very porous, we have had a few rainy days in the past couple of weeks and there has never been The landscaping fabric can be laid with absolutely no problem, even with an absurd amount of lawn. It is only downfall is that if it is cut, it shreds pretty easily along the edge. As we fold most of ours under, it is not a huge deal.

I find this to be tough
5/5

The stuff is really tough. This is what we used under our gravel drive to prevent the gravel from sinking into The gravel has been poured over it as well as survived the beatings of the dump trucks driving over it. I have never.

The product was bought to create a new driveway, and it saved time and money
5/5

Rolling it out and having it be very sturdy was easy. It was no problem for the gravel truck to drive over it to dump the load. Due to the fabric I was using, digging several inches down was not necessary since I only scraped and leveled the area for the drive. Despite the fact that the top layer of smaller gravel was topped with a layer of large rock, there was no need for an underlayment. When I bought the 6 foot by 300 foot roll, I had enough to lay it down in the garage, and then I put down a gravel floor in it, as well. Despite its price and material, I found this product to be excellent.

The water does not In this case, it is a soil stabilization fabric, which I would expect to be free of sizing A draining experience
3/5

However, that is not the case. The wood is to be used as the underlay in a dog run filled with pea gravel. A fabric of the appropriate weight can prevent the rock from sinking into the soil, but drainability is extremely important since it will serve a Then, after laying it down, which was dead easy compared with typical landscape fabrics, I anchored the ends in place with gravel, and pierced the entire thing with a pitchfork to secure it. hoses confirmed that it was now draining, so I filled the rest of the gravel pit with gravel. When stripped, this material shreds like nobody's business. It's durable and easy to lay, but when cut it shreds like nobody's business. Cut carefully with a new razor knife and use a blade that is sharp. *Worked fine, but I would probably choose a different fabric if I had the opportunity to make it all.

Puddles remain on the surface
5/5

Those thick stems remained after I layered it over gravel and a weed-filled backyard that was roughly cut and full of weeds as high as the shoulders. We now have a great lawn in the backyard thanks to that. Then I topped it with astro turf, and we are able to walk on it. My only issue is that it does not let water through quite as I would expect. Nevertheless, I would choose it again for using it for the same purpose because of how tough it is.

The water does not drain
3/5

The reviews my husband reads before purchasing anything are invaluable to him. On this product, it seems the man didn't drain it at all. I find it really strange that there are so many five-star reviews when the product doesn't drain! I think it's a joke to call that landscaping "fabric"! There is only a slight resemblance to fabric in the fact that the "plastic" is woven like cloth. I will use the word plastic, as the imperative. There is no drain on this product since it is plastic. In my case, I found this out when I power washed the wood retaining wall in front of what will eventually be a Pea gravel patio and found the water didn't My interest piqued when I encountered a review from a woman who discovered that this was true In order to poke holes in it, she used a pitchfork. We couldn't utilize a pitchfork due to the product we were using. They are equivalent to 2 foot pavers, and we were using them to lay our walkway. The two trays are heavy duty plastic, about one quarter inch tall, with honeycomb spaces approximately an inch across. are all interlocking when you lay them down, so when you pour gravel into them the gravel won't This is a solid, well-built board! To poke holes in all the low spots of the hexagon grids, it became a real pain in the a** to go through all the low spots. In an area with a high slope, this product would work well, as the water will always run downhill, but in our case, even though the dirt was properly graded, some areas were low. Make sure you do your research before you buy.

The geodata is of the highest quality
5/5

Among its many uses, this good quality geotech is great for wrapping French drains (although a nonwoven geotextile is preferred), for use below patios and driveway bases, as well as various other erosion and sediment control projects. For such a wide range of sizes, the geo is very tough and affordable.

The underlayment must be of high quality
5/5

Geotextiles have been used by me for a variety of purposes since the early 1980s. For many applications in the industrial sector, I used the same fabric. There is no reason to be disappointed.
