Selected User Reviews For Hourleey Adjustable Twist Hose Nozzle, 4" Heavy-Duty Brass Hose Nozzle with 10 Garden Hose Rubber Washers, 2 Pack
These aren't made of brass and are flimsy. They claim to be sturdy and heavy duty in their description, but they are anything but. Furthermore, they have a tendency to leak.
I like these for a high-powered stream to reach my dormers, for rinsing vinyl after applying cleaner, and for a high-powered stream to reach my dormers. The hose was threaded incorrectly on one of the two. Only a quarter turn would be possible. I'll just make a pvc adapter for about a buck since it's threaded for "house pipe. ".
This appears to be exactly what I'm looking for, but it won't fit a 3/4" hose. It will, according to the advertisement. It only goes about halfway down the second thread before coming to a complete stop. I tried it with no gaskets, one gasket, and two gaskets - none of them worked. There is no solution. When I turn on the water, a lot of it squirts backwards and soaks me, which isn't what I wanted. It's as if the nozzle's threads are just a smidgeon too small for the hose's threads. I have three 3/4" hoses and tried it on all three, with the same result.
You're probably replacing your garden hose nozzles for the tenth time, frustrated that everything these days is cheap junk that breaks down in a year. So you search Amazon for brass nozzles instead of plastic nozzles and come across a slew of unbranded options, with no way of knowing which are good and which are just heavier junk. The comparison photos, which showed the thicker bronze material and double O-rings, sold me on this one. Compared to other models, this model has a lot of rings. And I've been blown away thus far. It's sturdy and doesn't leak, the twisting action is simple, and it generally works as expected. br>br>I haven't had it for very long, so I can't say for sure how long it will last, but it appears to be sturdy, and I wouldn't be surprised if the brass fails anytime soon. br>br>My only quibble is that rotating the nozzle to adjust the stream is a bit of a random process - It's not a smooth transition from a narrow stream to a wide-open fan. Then come to a halt. If you're not careful, you can unscrew the nozzle completely, and it will go from closed to wide to dripping to thin stream to fan-like. reshaped, reshaped, reshaped, reshaped, reshaped Overall, it does the job and should reduce the number of things that need to be replaced around the house.
I live in Las Vegas, and many of the plastic sprayers have died as a result of the sun's rays. This is a great product that gives me all of the spray options that the "fancy" plastic ones did. The added bonus is that you can pull this thing through rocks and bushes without it hooking on anything while coiling up the hose. They are fantastic.
Try to figure out what kind it was. This purchase was not intended to replace that. It's still going strong, and it's never let us down! We celebrated (I'm not sure) our tenth? You know, it's all about the glitz and glam. You can twist/adjust the nozzle by squeezing it with all kinds of words. and none of them lasted longer than five minutes. 10 years. This is the most versatile, practical, well-designed, and durable basic nozzle available. The only drawback (if there is one) is that you must twist the nozzle on/off/adjust it to turn it on/off/adjust it. It doesn't have a spring-loaded handle that you can simply release to turn it off. This isn't the nozzle for you if you care about that. But if that's not important to you (yes, in my experience, this is the source of fancy nozzle problems) and you just want a hose nozzle that will work simply and possibly forever, this is the nozzle for you.
25th of July, 2020: Just received. It has a nice weight to it, runs smoothly, and performs admirably. I expect it to last for years, which is something I couldn't say about plastic dial "select a spray" sprayers. With a couple of twists, this (to me, old fashioned) sprayer easily transitions from spray to powerful stream and back. I purchased the two-pack so that I could have one for each of my hoses in the front and back yards.
I've been attempting to use these multi-tasking tools for years. a variety of hose nozzles made of plastic Because everything is garbage. I finally remembered the simple brass nozzle I had many years ago and decided to order it. These straightforward metal twist nozzles are, of course, ideal - no leaks; water pressure that is plentiful; It is easy to use. Purchase these and enjoy your life.
