Questions & Answers
According to the height you are on top of the ground, you can be a little bit deeper or a little bit lighter. A 2 foot hole is usually 2 feet below the ground and 2 feet above.
You should dig a round hole of 2 feet deep below the frost line. You should add gravel to the bottom of the hole to allow water to drain out. In order for Water to have a place to go when it drains, the gravel should be at least 6 inches deeper than the yard hydrant. Then you can connect with PVC, packs, or whatever you want the water line to be. Make sure the elbow is galvanized to prevent rust. A Tampa dirtbike can be positioned in the yard hydrant where it is restricted. If you want, you can mount a T post next to it
If you are looking at the drain hole, then you are looking at the drain pipe. In that way, the water can drain out after the valve has been closed. A plug should not be used since this prevents it from freezing.
There is a Chinese label on it, I believe.

I was surprised by the speed of delivery and the quality of the product.
This faucet is awesome. Water pressure is good despite the snow around our yard. We do not need to worry about the water freezing. It has been one of the best purchases for our gardens and farm.
It replaced a Simmons brand one I had that was leaking for years, and I bought it to replace it. As a result of a good deal, I took the chance on this one. That was the best thing I could have done! There is no leak with the handle and it can be lifted easily. The only regret I have is? It's a product I should have purchased a long time.
A plumber will need to come install it, but it appears to be well made.
The quality is terrible. Don't waste your time and money on these. It's been less than two weeks since it was installed, and it's leaking My scrap pile will be thrown on the scrap heap, and I'll be buying better ones, as I should have done.
Unlike other frost free hydrants, this one has a smooth, easy to operate valve action, and it doesn't leak a drop of water. It's important to remember this is a frost free system, so you'll need to do the install down to the main line.
I'm very pleased with it. I found this product to be very well made and very easy to install. I find it to be more efficient than other devices I own.
It is of good.
