In any ball valve, Paul, a plastic gasket is always surrounding the ball as a seal, so you can see inside the valve which is why all ball valves have this feature. The ball is made of metal, but it has a According to the title, this product is designed to be used with rain barrels. If you're going to use hot liquid, please test it first. Thanks.
It's just a matter of going to Wally World and getting the black garbage can with lid in the 32 gallon size. There is not much difference between them and $10. From what I've seen online, the price of some of these "Blue" recycled 55 gallon rain barrels can reach up to $150.
Good to hear your purchase went smoothly. Thank you. Winter has yet to start, so we have left the spigots in the North East. I was able to use it without any problems. There is also the issue of the rain barrel itself, if it's full and frozen completely, the water or ice could expand and cause the barrel to leak.
Is the hole 1 inch wide? Hi, does that mean the diameter is 1 inch? Have you ever wondered whether there is a valve with a 1" NPT? As for those, we do not have them at the moment. Making these later may be of interest. Thank you kindly

BLOOD FLOW I AM RATING. A hose connects the valve to the water supply A closer inspection of the adapter on one end of the valve reveals a 5/8" ID passageway on either end of the ball, but the valve itself and any machined/drilled passageways on either side of the ball only have a 3/8" ID hole. This is pretty ridiculous if you are looking for a decent flow rate for your gravity-fed system An application submitted by the fed. If that 55 gallon drum was full of straws, it might as well be drained. There should be this important information included in the description, and if they did, I would not have bought.
have a well and when the power goes out, as it often does 3 or 4 times a year, we lose our water, so we used to keep a bunch of water in the house to flush the toilet and use in other ways. In my shopping, I purchased 55-ml sealed plastic bottles My brother and I bought several gallon drums last summer (we use them for various purposes) and decided to use one as a water tank and eliminate the need for jugs. I only had to put this kit together in less than 20 minutes. As I saw in a Youtube video, I used a hook and string trick to pull the bulkhead fitting through the hole I cut (basically, you drop it through the hole on top of the string and use the string to fish the fitting through the hole at the bottom). To test for leaks, I filled the barrel to the top of the spigot with water and screwed everything tightly together by hand. None to be found. It is noted in some reviews that the flow from the spigot is weak I use it to fill jugs since it's not a gusher but it's solid and well-threaded. My biggest criticism is that the bolts are not well-tied. Whenever you are looking for a way to convert any kind of barrel into a water-related container, this is the way to go It is a tank for storing water. To start with, I had no idea I was missing a piece of the puzzle. In the end, it turned out to be the Rainpal RBI125F Rain Barrel Inlet Adapter with 2" Fine Thread Bung Cap to 1-piece Inlet Tube. There is a small barbed fitting with a 1/4" hole in the top of the barrel, which is what I can use to cap the hole. Having that information was also helpful.
This product deserves five stars too as it has been reviewed by hundreds of people. But, not too often do I see five star reviews. As I was building a rain barrel, I needed a few bulkheads that looked like you could make rain barrels. The particular purpose of my application was to convert a Rubbermaid trash can into an artificial water and nutrient reservoir within a subterranean irrigation system Garden in a container that is irrigated. There is nothing to complain about regarding the bulkhead's quality. was easy to install and there was no leak after it was tightened. A quarter turn valve reduces stress on the bulkhead when opening or closing the valve, which allows it to be opened and closed easily. It is made of high-quality brass, so I have no reason to be concerned about the strength of the bulkhead over time. gasket provided is quite beefy, which makes tightening it a breeze without the fear of blowing out any of the gasket. In the application I needed, the flow rate wasn't particularly high, but the valve can still operate at a decent rate. While these may not be the cheapest bulkheads out there, the quality and construction means that you get a lot for your money. I only had one problem with it, if you will, and that was that the hole required to install it was rather large. It is ideal for drilling bulkhead holes such as these to use a Unibit. My old drill couldn't drill the 1 inch, so I had to buy a new Unibit I had to modify my Unibit to fit a 1" hole since my other Unibit was capped at 1/4" A quarter inch. Getting new tools is not a complaint for me, but getting new tools is not a complaint for me. My two bulkheads like these were bought a few weeks ago, and if I need more in the future, I'll buy them.
The product I used for this project was a fitting for an outdoor-type awning To use an actual wine barrel, attach a garden hose to it. It seems, at first glance, to be a good quality brass that is fairly heavy-looking We have responsibilities. There is a problem with the ball valve, it seems inflexible, but there is a solution. As a first step, at least Everything works as it should. (plus washers) There are three pieces to this unit During the assembly process, a base sits inside the barrel, a base nut secures the base in place, and a valve assembly A primary complaint I have is that the base's neck isn't long enough to reach through the barrel's head -- an area that is about 3 cm thick (a little over an inch) -- and It was necessary to route out the head around the opening in order to make the wood thin enough so that I could secure the base with a nut. A manufacturer may save a little brass, but the end user has to waste a lot of time and effort.
The 55-gallon plastic drum was used in the experiment. The customer's house does not supply enough water to my power washer, so I often have to give up. In order to protect the house from the pressure washer, the drum serves as a buffer. By starting with the drum filled, I am able to run the washer while it fills, and I am able to run for longer periods of time between stopping and waiting for the drum to be filled. As this part worked perfectly, it was even able to be mounted to the bottom of the barrel through the small hole on the It didn't take me long to install it because I did not have to use my arm. By the way, this did solve my problem, and I now have about 40 minutes of run time before the barrels need.
It would make a great addition to my Fiscars if there were one. The water collecting tube was positioned lower on the barrel than the factory (upper), so that more water could be used. It was very easy to install, and there were We use it to irrigate our garden, and it flows fast enough to keep up with a small electric pump.
I'm very happy with the product. My Emsco rain barrel outlet spigot for replacing was leaking after little use since it was not securely glued to the barrel body. I bought the Rainpal as a replacement outlet spigot. I didn't have to buy a new barrel because of the Rainpal. Rather than being as simple as the illustration shows, installing the internal bulkhead fitting requires some effort. On an already installed barrel, I did not think the drop and pick method would work. After cutting a hole in the barrel, I string a wire coat hanger from the opening of the spigot down to the bottom of the barrel. I started with the fitting slid slowly down the wire, pulled it through, tightened the nut, then installed the spigot. Once that was done, the fitting could be installed. In the wake of the first rain storm, the barrel is completely filled and In case I need this product again for my other barrels, I will buy it again.
