Watering my outdoor potted plants with these little containers when I am going away for a week or two is something I do when I am going to be gone. It requires a bottle with a long neck, such as a bottle of wine! Forced me to drink a lot of wine for a week prior to leaving! Firstly, be careful not to push these into the ground without first drilling a hole into the soil. These are fragile and you don't want to put them into the ground directly. To plant the seeds, I merely poked a small hole in the ground with a stick. My next caution is to be quick about inserting a full bottle of water because you have to be quick, otherwise some of the water in the bottle is lost. I will have to try removing the spike from the ground and inserting it alongside the water bottle in the same manner. If you choose to use it, be careful because the spike is fragile. As far as I understand, the spike does leach out water from your wine bottle into the soil, so it does indeed work. Based on how dry the air is and how big your pot is, you would need to figure out how long to soak. It's been a great experience so far with my spikes!.
It is useless to be useless. Invest your time and money wisely and do not waste it! This is a major A lack of water caused the crop to fail. They broke as soon as you placed the pot into the glass or put the wine bottle into the glass. It was a complete waste of money. One finger was cut and bleeding. You are getting ready to leave town, relying on your phone to work, but it does not. The thumbs down are three. It's a complete piece of crap! I followed the instructions to a tee. A finger cut badly on one of the fingers, so I threw out the half that broke. They were all broken up into slivers and pieces so they did not return. Was a total waste of money and time. I do not recommend this product. If there are good reviews, the reviewer may not be A complete waste of time!.
These babies, along with a 2 liter bottle, have been my go-to supply for several years, and I can leave my plants for up to 3 weeks. your plants are thirsty or in large pots, you can put two spikes with bottles in their pots. Indoor and outdoor plants will both benefit from this product. As they are terracotta, they are packed well so shipping won't damage them, but take care when pressing them into the ground.
It was a pleasure to receive them all in such good condition. The outside packaging of the boxes survived the shipping procedure despite being knocked We found that a few of them broke when full water bottles were inserted Although the smaller bottles were not in danger, we found that they lasted only a few Later, we switched to 1 litre bottles, but they were broken almost instantly. Being all the way to the center will not allow them to support the weight. If there is a good wind, then the tops will be blown off. This is our second time using the small bottles and we haven't broken a single one. The ground seems to be fairly dry with a moisture meter, but I don't know if these actually work. We see the water going down, but a moisture meter indicates that 2 feet are dry The distance is 3 inches. This might be suitable for indoor plants, but we are planning to use it outside and dug a 2-inch hole to install it. The root ball is 3 inches from the ground. Those are not good for our purposes, but we might use them for some of our potted indoor.
They brought a smile to my face when my daughter showed me. A single one never felt right to me. Obviously, since I attempted to push the first one into the ground, it broke. I learned from the directions that I needed to make a hole in the dirt before putting in the spike. Then you're good to go! As I live on a ridge, the wind comes through the house a lot. Due to this, many of the potted plants in my garden dry out quickly. My plants get a little thirsty even when I water them spikes continue to allow moisture to get to the plants even if the pots are porous. They are ideal for terra cotta or wooden planters. Their use for blueberry and herb pots makes me happy. Even though my friends believe I am a big fan of wine, I try to consume some sparkling water as well so as not to ruin my good name. These are great for plants who like more water, but seriously, these are great for plants who.
In the heat of summer when I had to leave for a few days, I did not want to leave my plants without water. I found these to be very convenient and value for money, and my hanging baskets are very pleased with them. As a tip, I used a paper towel around the outside of the neck of the bottle as not all bottles are the same that I used to hold the clay spikes. Afterward, I put the bottle on top of the spike to keep it upright and firmly in place.
I am so grateful for these things! were in perfect condition when they arrived! You should use bottles with a longer neck. The water in the bottles is refilled every 10 days In my opinion, 14 days is a reasonable amount of time. The one that broke, however, was my fault. I was trying to fit a bottle in there that didn't quite fit, so I broke it. But I still use the broken one since it's already buried in the pot, it still works, but water evaporates faster. I will upload pictures later. Overall, this is a great product!.
I really like that they work so well! Some of my potted plants get absolutely sun baked during the summer unless I water them twice a day, and that is not a pleasant thing. This year, I got these to help out my poor little flowers! They are indeed keeping my plants' roots nice and dry, and I keep an eye on their success using a soil moisture monitor. The porch is going to look gorgeous with all the pots on it.
