Questions & Answers

Why isn't this ship going to the state of Washington?

These are mislabeled as insecticides on Amazon, and the state of Washington prohibits them from being shipped. That isn't the case. They have "food and feed-related" materials in them. RESCUE's website describes the ingredients as "food-grade." br>br>I've contacted customer service to have this resolved. So far, there has been no success.

Is there a time limit?

There won't be much liquid left in the bag until it's completely filled with flies to the fill line. 15,000 to 20,000 flies can be held in this container. (Disposal is the term used to describe the process of discarding something.) Some people may decide to leave the bag up until it is completely dry before discarding it. Otherwise, push the top down and double bag it with plastic grocery bags; this works well, though it's best to wait until the night before pickup and throw it out.

What is the scent of these?

There is no odor until the trap is opened and the bait is activated by adding water. The trap has a mild odor that you wouldn't want in your kitchen once it's been activated, but the smell is what makes it so effective. You'll notice a slight odor when walking by the trap for the first few days, but as the trap fills with hundreds of dead flies, the odor from the decaying bodies will become more intense, and if you have a sensitive nose, you might not be comfortable walking downwind from it. This odor will not bother farmers or people who live in close proximity to animals, but it will offend each individual's nose.

How do I get rid of the odor from the trap that I dropped and spilled on the concrete?

Wash with a hose and a diluted bleach solution. That's what I did, and it worked for me.

THEY ARE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS - THE FORMULA HAS BEEN WEAKENED
3/5

I've been buying a couple at a time from The Stock Shop for years and they've never let me down. plastic in the color orange Smell like a rotting corpse and gather hundreds of flies. I purchased a 12-pack and set up three. One has flys two days later, and I can smell it a little, but it's nothing like the others. The remaining two are: I can stick my nose straight in the opening and snort like a drug addict because there are no flies. No odor. It's possible that they've altered the formula. There hasn't yet been a bad one. Horses, tortoises, dogs, and other animals are among the animals that have been deployed. I used the website to send an email to the company. I'll keep you updated once they respond.

In the group, there are some duds, and customer service is a shambles
3/5

I bought these last year and they worked great. I'm not sure if the company was the same. We're a sheep farm, so we have to keep an eye on the flies. This year, I ordered an early and large package, and it was full of duds; a few did eventually activate after a few weeks or if I added gross stuff to it, and when they do, they are fantastic. The first photo shows one that worked; the others are in the chicken room and sheep barn, both of which have plenty of flies. When I replied to the seller, they asked if I wanted a refund or a replacement. I only asked for a replacement of the stinky items, which they said they couldn't provide. The packages themselves were fine, except for l, which had a broken loop on the top, but I wrapped it with twine so it wasn't a problem, and I offered to take pictures if they needed them at the start. Nothing was said. br>Later, I receive an email after the one above, stating that they have decided that photos are required. I was out of state at our other farm and didn't have access to a computer, so I was expecting replacements. br>Now I get an email asking if I'm still interested. This company has not provided me with good customer service, and I am only now starting to make our own out of fish guts and ice cream buckets. If I can figure out how to post the pictures, I'll do so because I'm irritated enough right now to go ahead and do the extra work. Find another company that sells these and maybe they'll be stinky enough. Sometimes insects develop resistance from year to year, such as Japanese beetles, but most flies just like gross stuff.

Sterling International is not to be taken for granted
3/5

We had great luck with another product last year, but we couldn't find it this year, so Sterling International was contacted and these were ordered. They're completely ineffective! The product does not withstand the elements. They leak in the sense that they lose all of the water, and the top seal is extremely difficult to open! Selling a hanging product without anything to hang it with is another low-cost way to make the customer's job more difficult. br>Continue your search!
- Improve the quality of the plastic bags by securing the edges.
- Remove the top seal because cutting cleanly and closing after filling and transporting to the hanging spot is nearly impossible. br>- Please include the twist tie that is required for the job to be completed.

It stinks like hell; Fries from all over the world flock to this place
5/5

I needed to get rid of a couple of flies in the chicken coop. I hung it up, and it drew swarms of flies from all over the place. It reminded me of a scene from a fly horror film. I got rid of it and was back to having two or three flies again almost immediately. If you don't want to attract millions of flies to your home, this is not the product for you. (It will, however, catch a lot of them, and when it's full of flies, it makes an interesting buzzing sound. ).

Exceptional item!! The best fly traps can be found here
5/5

I have ducks and a rooster on my property. Fly traps are amazing because there are always flies near the ducks and rooster. I've tried a lot of different brands, but none of them compare to these. They are also used at an animal shelter where I volunteer. The number of flies we collect in these bags is incredible, and it has significantly reduced the number of flies we see. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a distinct odor. They need to draw the flies in. You won't be surprised if you go in with the assumption that they have a smell. They're also extremely simple to use. Cut the tops off, fill them with water, and tie them together. That is all there is to it. br>br>Would recommend these to anyone looking for a way to get rid of flies. Every summer for the past 5 or 6 years, we've used these. Don't squander your cash on inferior products!.

Infinite Worth is a term that refers to something that has no limit
5/5

I'm going to start with the scent. Because flies adore it, I gave it five stars. We didn't have any, so we hung it from our patio about 50 feet away. Flies swooped down as quickly as they could to this fantastic feast. Then there's the fact that it's fairly simple to operate. Fill the bag with water until it reaches the top line. Swivel the top in the direction indicated because flies must be able to get in. For some reason, we were inundated with flies this year, so we hung it at least 30 feet away from where you'll be spending your time; the value for your money is infinite. There would be 5 or more people on the outside umbrella, as well as 15 or 20 people on the chairs and lounge. It was revolting! We had fewer flies after my son hung it on a tree branch in the back. We had no flies in a matter of days! The bag was soon overflowing with dead flies, as well as some yellow jackets. br>My only complaint was that I was supposed to receive 12 but only received one. br>Amazon gave me a refund and allowed me to keep the one they had sent. I felt relieved. I've since purchased a different brand, but I won't be able to comment until next year.

This thing works so well, I can't believe it
5/5

This device works like a charm! We spend a lot of time on our deck, and we were beginning to notice some bothersome flys, as well as a few in the house. There was nothing particularly bad about it. At the very least, it did not bother me. I bought one of these bags, hung it on my deck (see location suggestions below), and within 5 minutes I had flys, which was pretty cool. I had dozens an hour later (I didn't realize I had that many), and hundreds the next day. Nothing has ever worked as well as this. Flys from the nearby woods must be attracting them. When I finally got rid of it, I needed 1000 in the first trap. I placed a second order for 12 more to give to my family. Simply incredible. Okay, here are a few pointers: It should not be hung on your deck. Place it a short distance away from your deck and away from the wind. A foul odor emanates from the trap. You'll get a whiff when the wind blows, but it won't be very strong. Also, if at all possible, keep it hidden. Although fascinating at first, watching so many flys trapped in the trap becomes a little disgusting after a while. The only thing that could make this better is if the company didn't use such a bright yellow color, unless it adds to the attraction.
