I had a huge problem with little black flies that looked like Nats because one of my windows was open and there were hundreds of them. They worked great; all you have to do now is put them where they like to land and you'll be amazed.
It's very simple, and it's also very inexpensive.
Yes, flies can be kept in there. We only hung one on a large picture window, but it caught four flies in two days. We haven't put any up because we haven't had many flies in the house recently, but now that fall has arrived and they are more likely to sneak in when it gets cold outside, we will most likely put some up. The nice thing about them is that they stick to the window easily and come off just as easily, leaving no sticky residue behind. This is a great product at a good price. To avoid obstructing the view, we placed ours in a lower corner rather than the center of the window.
I had three, but none of them had a fly on them.

The adhesive is strong, catching even the tiniest bits of fly/bug. They're a million times better than those rodeo/fair ugly strips hanging down for all to see or lugging around a fly swatter all day. These can be concealed behind curtains or shades and catch light at all hours of the day and night. I'm a huge fan because it's so simple to replace and dispose of. We've only used them indoors so far, and despite the packaging's recommendation, we haven't added any honey or syrup, and they've worked perfectly. If and when we use it outside, I might think about adding an additive. For the time being, we're just catching like crazy in the house on all the bedroom windows, which makes me one happy momma!.
) Gnats were everywhere, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms, as it was harvest season. )br> It was revolting! I couldn't bear having those jerks in my face while I was cooking. br>I did some research and decided on these, as well as a vinegar, dish soap, and salt bath in a bowl for each room. br>(I didn't add anything to the strips; they were as they were. ) )br>As you can see from my photo, these strips WORK. The little jerks had significantly decreased in just two days. br>I was overjoyed at the prospect of being able to cook. eat without being bombarded with advertisements!.
I was adamant about not hanging a fly trap, but when I saw this, I changed my mind. I believe it is less noticeable than others, is simple to conceal, and performs admirably. It's simple to hang and doesn't leave a sticky residue when you take it down.
I'm apparently a novice fruit fly breeder. Every 15 minutes or so, I'd slap at one or two of them while sitting in bed at night. I got tired of it and bought one of those overpriced sticky cardboard tube bug catchers, which caught only a few flies. br>br>Before I left town for a few weeks, I taped these inexpensive sheets to my windows. When I returned, I was horrified to discover that each sheet had been covered in hundreds of fruit flies. I can now buy fresh fruit again. br>br> Yay! br>br>I will not be submitting a photograph. That's simply disgusting and humiliating.
Taking off the paper backing is extremely difficult. You are a magician if you can complete this task without touching the adhesive. If you get it on your fingers, you'll probably need a belt sander or at the very least some acetone to get it off. Even that will necessitate a thorough cleaning. Another word of warning. Please keep this out of reach of snakes, lizards, pets, and children. Unless you can free an animal caught in a glue trap using vegetable oil (doubtful with this stuff), it will die a slow and painful death from starvation and dehydration. br>br>It should catch anything it comes into contact with in terms of effectiveness.
in addition to a project suggestion That's a big step up from the old gooey yellow strips. The clear strips are excellent for use in windows. Many flying insects are drawn to this area. They're also drawn to light bulbs, so I devised a simple device (see photos). I created a small disc out of thick plexiglass and wrapped the sticky strip around it. (An extra piece of clear tape was required to keep it in place. ) As you can see, gnats were attracted to it when the lamp was turned on for several nights. USE ONLY LED BULBS WITH THIS ITEM - They're a lot cooler. Even so, I poked holes in the plexiglass to keep the heat out.
This is how many flies I caught in my garage in 24 hours! I also put a strip on my kids' tackle box, which seemed to help even more with attracting flies. We're hoping to get rid of the swarms of flies as soon as possible. I highly recommend this product and have already placed an order for more.
I'm not usually one to write reviews, but this fly trap is incredible! I despise the ones you dangle from the ceiling, and I'm proud to say that these ones are effective. It's incredible. Take a look at the image.
