I imagined myself as a Jedi, slicing through flies in mid-air while waving my zapper fluidly. In reality, hitting a fly in the air is quite difficult. It's simple to unpack and charge the zapper. It's a big zapper with clear instructions, and it seemed to intimidate all kinds of flying insects at first. When the flying insects finally let their guard down, we discovered that the zapper works well outside and emits a satisfying crackle and zap sound when the enemy insects are eliminated.
So there's a switch on the right side that goes from off to ready to always active and turns on the blue leds. Four battery level indicators become active when the switch is in the middle or top position; when the switch is in the middle position, pressing the very large button (the grey oval shaped part) activates it (but does not turn on the blue lights in this mode). When it's turned on, another red indicator light appears near the battery indicators to indicate that it's on. br>br>First impressionsbr>* It's a little bigger than I expected, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but. . . br>* The button to turn it on manually is also quite big. It appears to be far too simple to activate it simply by holding it, especially when trying to support the bulky size while avoiding pressing the button. In essence, you can move it quickly while activating it, move it very gently while avoiding the button, or hold it higher up by its neck. br>* The base station states, "If battery runs out of power, switch to off when charging," which makes the prospect of this thing not receiving enough charge to keep it running a little disappointing. But I suppose it depends on the charger's power, so we'll have to wait and see. br>* In comparison to other bug zappers, the outer safety net mesh is much farther away from the inner mesh. Because I was under the impression that a bug had to be touching the middle and outer meshes at the same time to complete the circuit and be zapped (which is what I originally bought it for, some teensy bugs about the size of grains of sand), I assumed it would cause an issue with little bugs not getting properly zapped (which is what I originally bought it for, some teensy bugs about the size of grains of sand). But, perhaps that isn't the case, because it still appears to zap those tiny ones. br>* When it's sitting there running, the zaps can make you jump. This isn't the product's fault; it's simply the way things work. However. . . br>* The base station appears to be a little too small for the product it supports. When it's on a shaky surface that I'm also using, such as a desk, I'm afraid I'll jump or move around and knock it over. br>* While it's running and on the dock, the neck area appears to get very warm (it may or may not happen while undocked as well, I haven't paid much attention). The large button and the small base station are my biggest gripes out of all of that. br>br>Summarybr>Of all of that, the huge button and the small base station are my biggest gripes. It's simply too easy to press when you don't mean to, and the device is a tad too large to dock on something so small. Apart from that, I'm enjoying it so far. br>br>That's all I've got for the time being. Depending on what else I want to say about it, I may or may not update this review later.
I included photos to give you an idea of scale; it's quite tall (and would make a great badminton racket if you were so inclined), but it'll stand on its own or swing wildly in the wake of a swarm of mosquitos if that ever happens. I'd like to take it camping with me someday, but for now, I just leave it on bug-free mode. At night, use the zapping mode to double as a night light and to kill any night vermin. It fits snugly in the holder, though it hasn't been tested for earthquakes, in which case I could see it slipping out. It's also not dangerous unless you're using it in active zapping mode, in which case the instructions say not to touch it for a few minutes after turning it off. According to the instructions, the blue light mode is fine, but I haven't touched it yet. Overall, I'm looking forward to not having to deal with pesky bugs this summer and taking it camping!.
This is an entirely new level of enjoyment! You can call this the tennis racket of vengeance if you're like me and even small bugs drive you crazy. I'm now like a bloodthirsty Nadal, scouring the house for the few remaining fruit flies; hearing the lid zap as you strike through the air is therapeutically satisfying. My wife enjoys watching me go hunting as much as I enjoy it. br>Jokes aside, the plastics are of good quality, and the charging cable is also nice; I'm just wondering if it would be too expensive to include a plug with it so we don't have to order one separately. br>Reclaim your kitchen from nature and make your house clean, quiet, and civilized once more! ORDER NOW.
Do you, like me, have a deep aversion to mosquitos? Do you have a deep-seated hatred that makes you want to search the universe for the six Infinity Stones? This is exactly what you require. br>br> The first night, I got 3 dozen skeets! SO cathartic is the pop/sizzle! I'm no longer hunting them for sport, and I'm disregarding all of the one-star reviews. They're all complaining about how heavy it is, or how it tips over in the wind while charging. Performance is the only thing that matters to me. Get it! br>br>.
I've never used or seen one of these before, but we've been having mosquito problems inside the house, so I looked on Amazon for something to help. br>It arrived fully charged, so we got right to work. We were waving it around the room like airport security at first. There was no action taken. We went to bed and were woken up by new bites, which started the fun. We were swatting mosquitos like we were playing Wii tennis, and the "Pap!" "It was so satisfying to see each of them die. " They haven't returned, so one must have survived to tell the story.
br>At long last, I've discovered a way to keep the bugs away from me! br>It's simple to charge and transport. Simply position yourself away from the bugs and wait for them to be zapped; it works instantly! I was scared the first time I heard it, but it makes a sound, so you know it's working. That sound, on the other hand, is not at all distracting from your conversation. I'm overjoyed that I received this, and that I'm no longer bitten by insects!.
