So, as the weather warmed up and I moved closer to a field, I decided this was a must-have and ordered this specific one based on the positive reviews. And they aren't lying when they say this is incredible. It kills hundreds of bugs, and the zapper goes off so frequently that I can hear it and see a small spark at the same time; it's fascinating to watch and listen to. But if you're on the fence about it, go ahead and buy it; you won't be sorry. (I made a video, and if you turn up the volume all the way, you can hear and see the bugs being zapped. ).
Being the frugal person that I am, instead of paying the $25, I bought this one for $18 assuming it would do the same thing. It's only the first night, but it's a LOT louder than my other one, and there's a constant zapping noise, which wouldn't bother me as much, but it's NOT KILLING the bugs; instead, they're stunned and fleeing; there were only a few bugs dead on the metal bars, whereas my other one is completely full. This one isn't one I'd recommend, and I'm glad I didn't buy it. br>I'll post a picture tomorrow; perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised by a swarm of dead bugs, but even if that happens, I won't be happy because the noise is unbearable.
It was only a few days of work. After a few uses, it died out.
When new, it emits an appealing (to bugs) blue light, but after a few days, the blue light fades to white, just like a regular fluorescent light. I've hung it outside on the edge of my pergola, so it's been exposed to the elements and rain. It is possible that it will become wet. It still attracts and zaps bugs, and it's still functional if there aren't any other lights nearby for the bugs to go to. I'm not sure if the claim about blue lights attracting bugs is true, or if they should attract more bugs than white lights. I got it on sale for under $20 each (I bought 2), so the only reason I gave it a lower rating is because of the color light change. It's possible that the blue tint was just a thin layer that burned off after a few days of use.
Hang this around your hangout to keep pesky skeeters from devouring your guests while they devour your bbq. Wait until the wasp that keeps diving bombing you every time you step outside has nested for the night, then hang this up to get them in the morning. Whatever you do, purchase this item; you require it and are unaware of it. Later, you'll thank me.
This bug light is a nice little light that works well. It started attracting bugs as soon as I plugged it in. With a small compartment on the bottom and lightweight plastic, it's easy to handle and clean. We've got it set up in our camper now, and it's perfect.
It was gone in two days thanks to this bug zapper. The infestation has been eradicated in its entirety. Even as I write this review, I can still hear it zapping away. I got a great deal. This is something I would strongly advise others to do! Thank you very much!.
