Questions & Answers

The Pocketboy comes with a shorter blade. Does it fit here? It would be useful to carry a spare fine tooth blade to use on bone, but it would also reduce the weight and save me money. ?

There is no way for me to know. It is not something that I have tried.

The silky gomboy blade will be able to meld to the bahco laplander handle, do you know?

I have no idea what to do. The manufacturer should be able to answer both questions.

Can a medium tooth replacement blade be used here?

There will be a fit if it's a silky gomboy blade

Is the blade teeth size (medium or large) for the Gamboy 210 the same as the one for the G3? For teeth with large spaces, should I use the GOMBOY 240 or 270? Thank you for your kind words! ?

Even though I am not certain I understand the question fully, I will respond to it as I understand The choice depends on how long you want the saw to be it is the 210, 240, or 270. There is no difference in tooth size between the long and short lengths, so you have a choice whether you want Your use of it will depend on what you are trying to accomplish.

Thanks Silky! I'm very happy with it
5/5

Adding this saw to my Get Home Bag made me feel more at home! Despite not being a necessity for that use, I have it as a backup in case I have to stay outdoors for multiple nights. I was considering forging an axe or cutting wood with In addition to being lighter, the saw is also more portable, and it has increased efficiency as well. As a result of reading reviews, I selected both the Silky and the Bahco as my top picks. As far as I can tell, the main difference between them is that the Bahco has a firm blade that cuts on both push and pull strokes while the Silky has a flexible blade that cuts only on pull strokes. That would make sense, wouldn't it? Why not buy Bahco? That's not true! prefer cutting on the pull stroke since it gives me more control over the cut. And, believe me, this saw is great for cutting in this way! It's not impossible that the apparently flexible blade will be a hindrance for many users. Even so, if your wood is knotty, or is irregular, or you're in a tight spot, the flexible blade prevents a lot of binding, as opposed It doesn't matter if you believe me or not, both these options are excellent! When compared to an axe, you'll have the bug out shelter and camp fire up in no time at all! Here are a few things you need to know There are several angles of attack to choose from with the blade lock, and the back edge can be used as a striker! It comes packaged in a nice weather resistant carry case. As I used my saw on several branches with different circumferences, I used it on a 3" diameter too. I had no trouble getting through it! Definitely wear gloves when doing anything technical! It seems to be well made and will fit very comfortably into the hand! You do not want to play with this! In any case, I am happy so far with my decision! Donald Trump 2020.

The one I rely on You need Bushcraft to do this
5/5

I bought the Silky Gomboy with large teeth (I would like to specify since it seems like these reviews go for similar but not always the same purchase). When it comes to cutting hardwoods (I have mostly cut ironwood and maple with this saw), this thing is a beast. This is good to know because the saw cuts on the pull and not the push and you don't need a lot of downward pressure to do it. Pushing the blade will bend it if you attempt to cut with it. Simply pull it, and it will do the work for you. The project has impressed me a lot. As you can see in the pictures I added, the blade length is perfect for what I am using it for. If I was to go longer or shorter, I think I would go much longer or shorter. Another purchase I made was the leather pliers belt holder from a $5 store. I soaked it in water for 15 seconds, then slipped the saw into the leather to dry, and the leather fit (there is even a little snap when the leather is dropped into the saw). The hole in the handle is just what I needed, but I need to add a short piece of orange 550 line to give the handle even more Investing the extra money isn't a regret, but it would be nice if the replacement blades weren't basically the same price as a brand.

Tool with lots of power
5/5

Cutting tool that is sharp and light. It cuts cleanly and is other-wise of high quality. The list of positive features of this tool could go on for hours. But I will say to anyone who buys it don't be afraid to play around with it. Despite the thinness of the blade, it is not fragile. Do not FORCED this tool - it must be respected. A SAW that cuts on the forward and back strokes could be compared to this. A FORWARD stroke gets the blade to where it needs to be, then the BACK stroke is the cut, and you should not mush the back stroke to make it work, allow the Silky to do it for you. This is a very good quality tool which stays sharp and can be used to cut through bamboo. I think it does a great job as long as what is cut is within the blade's size. For larger jobs where chain saws would be hard to fit in the space to cut, this tool would be ideal.

The buttery texture makes cutting it easy
5/5

My intention was to use it to trim small limbs off of trees in my yard. The device is lightweight, easy to operate, and lightweight. There is no need to pull hard, just wait for it to do its job. The sharpness of its cutting edge surprised me since it goes through trees with a diameter of 3" to 4" in no time. With its buttery texture and fast cutting speeds, it's great for construction. My desire to cut more led me to look for where else I could This saw won't wear you out if you are looking for one that won't tire you out.

This saw is sensational
5/5

A great saw. I have owned several before. Cheap saws have been a part of my past. The majority of the stuff I purchase at Harbor Freight or Walmart doesn't compare with this saw. The Silky saw has been the subject of lots of good reviews on YouTube over the years, so I decided to give it a go. I am no longer able to use my Bahco Laplander saw. Using the Silky saw, you can cut like a pro. It worked well on several trees on my property and on a grape vine that is a nuisance on the back fence of my property. As if it had been butter, it went right through it all. It's an excellent saw, and I'm delighted with it. My Bahco is a thing of the past, and now I travel with this Slky saw. It is so nice to finally find a saw that works This saw will continue to be a good purchase for me My mind is made up. I would like to try the pocketboy nest.

Foldable Gomboy 210 in silky smoothness
5/5

I am going to use my second saw from this brand. An ordinary brand from a local home improvement store was the first one. Although it worked fine, it took longer than usual to cut medium branches for landscaping and camping in the woods. Silky Gomboy 210 cuts much better and quicker than most other brands. A pulling motion of the saw causes the blade to cut fast. The Silky folding saw comes in larger sizes, but for me this size is ideal. There is a clear plastic carrying case included with it, but I don't use it. Putting the saw in my backpack is all I have to do. There is a lifetime warranty against defects, which I appreciate. If you use the blade to cut medium-sized to small diameter wood, it locks tight. Cutting blade 8 has a diameter of Cutting medium sized logs is easy using a power saw with a blade of 3 inches. The weight of the device is Weight 65 lbs. I wish you good.

The bottle broke easily
3/5

Up until the time it crashed, I was really enjoying this. Despite its small size and light weight, it cuts through wood with ease (I use it for camping/collecting firewood). Although it only took a couple of months and probably took about 5 times as long as it should Blades of the knife were broken six times. It looks like you'd have to spend at least $32 more on blade replacement, which is about the cost of the entire In a perfect world, I would gladly pay for it if it were more durable. In either case, if I'm only going to use it a handful of times, I would like to find.
