The blade of this razor I had been using for years, both commercially and privately, had worn out. As well as finding the blade, it occurred to me that I could buy a whole new saw for a few more dollars. As a previous owner of one of these saws, I knew they were great and would last for many years. In the end, I bought a new one, so now I have one for nice clean cuts and one that's very beat up to handle the This blade is extremely sharp, so keep your fingers out of the way.
The sharpness and finish of the blades are excellent. The handle is very sturdy and has a If the locking mechanism were a little tighter in the closed position, I would have given it 5 stars. If it was that way, the blade could be hinged out to just expose the tip of the blade outside the cavity it rests inside, but it would not cut anything because there were no teeth showing. In my opinion, this is a safe option, but since I intend to carry it in a backpack, I would prefer not to This will be fixed with a rubber band, so it isn't a big deal. A very smooth and sharp blade makes for a very fast cutting speed. There was a weight of There is 1 ounce in this package. Although the folding saw is heavier than advertised, I am delighted with its overall weight and lighter than other brands. I would definitely buy from them.
In years past, I used the Corona folding saws in an ATV club that I was a member of to help maintain the trails. Cut small branches, for example. One day, when we were on a camping trip, I warned my buddy that it was extremely sharp. Despite my repeated requests, he had not listened. From that mishap, it looks like he still has a scar. While the tip snapped off at some point, I still use that original Corona folding saw for quick, pruning jobs around the house, trail work and camping trips as it continues to stay almost as sharp as it did when I first I decided that when it was time to give a few gifts to members of the ATV club I am a member of I should make a few gifts. In the end, we opted for a folding saw. I didn't have to think twice about this one.
The woods are so handy I bought this saw to prune, but you wouldn't believe how handy it is for cutting. As you stand in the branches of a downed tree on a steep slope, imagine the following scenario To cut a 2-inch piece, you need to cut it off Branches larger than 3 inches need to be cut to get them ready for hauling, and the chain saw and limb loppers are about 15 feet from each other. All you need to do is pull this puppy out of your back pocket, press the button, stroke three easy times, and you're done. The folding is easy and the cutting is good. Our fight over it eventually led us to find another one so we could stop fighting.
This cutter cuts so straight! I am amazed at how smooth the edge is. You can even use it to cut stool legs down to size! The only time I used my sander was to round off the edges! This saw is great for all purposes!.
The Corona pruning saw I own is much larger, but this 7 inch one is much easier for me to carry around because of its small size, light weight, and excellent cutting abilities. The door can be opened and closed without difficulty. The blade may benefit from a bit of oil every now and then.
It My blade wouldn't close past a certain point when I tried to close it. Once I opened the blade up again, I saw a bur that was preventing it from being closed. With a small file, I removed the bur, and now it has a proper closure. It shouldn't be necessary to repair something that is brand new! There have been reviews that indicate that a saw can be opened slightly when closed/locked, exposing some of its teeth in older reviews (some several years old). Corona apparently hasn't corrected this issue by now though I expected it by now. As I would like to take it on a backpacking trip, I will definitely add a binder to it, or put it in an old sock to keep it.
It is an excellent saw just make sure you buy one with the little hook on the back where your little finger rests whenever you buy one of these. Avoiding blisters is really as simple as keeping pressure on it. I was surprised to see how many of these saws lack that hook when I looked on Amazon.
