In short, yes. For the first time ever, I composted and I am pleased with the results. Since I live in the desert, there was no need to add moisture to the mixture.
This product comes with a little manual that explains how to assemble it. It was all I could do by myself, and I am only a petite woman.
In short, yes. "Green" is added in a two-to-one ratio with "carbon/brown" being added in a one-to-one ratio. As examples, I use pine needles and cones, as well as twigs and shredded paper bags. That would seem to be exactly what is needed from what I read. So far, however, it has only been 2 weeks so I will have to wait and see how it goes.

It was my concern that I would waste my money on a new compost bin, but my concern has been satisfied. After studying all the reviews for this product as well as many many others, I chose this one. My first step after receiving the bin was to watch a YouTube video on assembling it, and it was super easy. gathered my patience and sat down to work, knowing that I would be in for a battle. No problems were encountered, and it took only a short time to complete. It turns out that the capacity is greater than I anticipated. During the winter, I put it on my deck next to my kitchen door. The spill or seepage did not occur. This is the kind of product I would recommend to anyone who is hard to please.
As I mentioned, I did not give it the fifth star because I only have it for one month. * Durability The week in Louisiana has almost been the hottest ever recorded. During the early part of summer, we rarely get rain. In the last three weeks, we've had about two real storms. It rains in the form of mini hurricanes when it rains very rarely. I have experienced so many In which the elements are a little bit more protected from the elements, this lasted through gusts of wind of 60 mph. The thing is, if you make sure you put it together correctly, it should survive extreme heat and extreme storms without too much trouble. During the real storm season, I will anchor the model with large cement bricks over the bars that rest on the ground by placing on cement bricks over the bars. Though I still have a long ways to go.
Except when necessary I live in an area where insects and other fearless creatures are at large all the time. This composter is designed to sit high off the ground and on a base that is very well sealed. The first time I got it, I filled it with a lot of horse manure and food scraps, which meant that I expected to find a lot of insects inside the fire or a small fire due to the abnormally low humidity and dry heat. We were surprised to find out it wasn't true. In spite of the intense heat, no flies had appeared, and there was no smouldering. I have not been paid by this company, but if they wish to contact me I will be happy to do so!.
In summary, I can say that the assembly instructions are awfully badly translated. Reading them from cover to cover is a good idea, for example, an important instruction on lining up the arrows on the outer discs can be found on the front cover. You should also pay attention to how the center divider is seated and how the plastic pegs are aligned as I had to take extra time to align a few. In my case, I had to disassemble it a bit to get the middle divider to fit. The piece went together fairly easily once it was corrected, and it has a square and level end.
It would be much better to have assembly instructions that were clear and concise. A type of screw and nut are found in 56 pieces. Although the parts are on the parts list, the instructions do not mention them. You can use these to attach the panel pieces to the end pieces, as well as to attach the panel pieces to each other. In the end, I could not figure out which way to set up While there is no mention of it in the instructions, it seems there is a correct orientation. Right now, my unit has gaps around the edges of the center piece due to how it is assembled. Surely there will be no adverse effects on the compost rotting, but I am not confident that the divider will remain in place when it is being used. In my opinion, this unit would be five stars if it came with decent instructions for assembly.
The flat pack furniture my husband built was a frustrating undertaking for him after he does plenty of DIY and flat pack furniture. The words he used were Each panel contains seven screws, some of whose holes are too close to ridges in the plastic and result in real difficulty screwing in (there are many nuts and screws on each panel). It is pretty useless to read the instructions with such poor quality and blurry photos That too turned out to be the case. It looks great on the outside but it just won't fit in the panel grooves on the inside. There is nothing wrong with the shape, just that it seems wrong. It was only possible to mount it together with a divider which was in and out of the grooves both times that I was able to get it to line up. Even though it was frustrating, once the system was completed, it seems like it will do what we need it to do. If the designers give a bit more thought and care to their design, you may need to spend vastly more time and energy developing it than should have been needed.
Now that I own two of these tumblers, I don't need a third. My two oldest were purchased about two years ago and my latest was purchased a few months ago. Except for the color of their bin covers, both are identical. While assembling the bin is somewhat straightforward, it is a bit difficult to figure out how to divide it into two compartments/sides using the divider inside. As long as the divider is in place, you can just screw everything together. Otherwise, it is a bit of a challenge. In terms of stability, the bin itself is quite sturdy once it has been put together. In both cases, I filled the compost with and the bags stayed With being sturdy, one of the problems is that it's not possible to keep one side full of compost and the other When I did that, the divider got pushed (from the heavy compost) into the empty space due to the way it is locked in It is actually a slot in the center of the tray for the divider to sit into, but because it is made of plastic, it may bend and slip out of the slot. In my case, one of my bins was damaged.
Assembling Ikea items is one of my favorite things to do. It is not similar to this item. We need fewer screws and nuts. Why make something that requires you to use a nut/backing when you need to reach in and position it without being able to see where it is positioned. You just have to trust your instincts. There is an impossible installation problem with that middle divider, I think. I was so eager to get to the end that I forgot to put it in during installation and then had to remove probably Then I have to re-think my decision Assembly is difficult, and the thing keeps falling out of place, so I am not sure how to put it in place correctly. This divider is extremely difficult to install. Tolerances on the plastic panels were probably too large and they weren't made correctly. There may be a design flaw in their construction, but they're extremely hard I think it would be nice if the door out of which you put stuff wouldn't just slide right off when you open it. Ideally I'd install an extra screw in on the bottom to prevent it from falling out when I.
